Next year I will be having a refresh of my accounts and doing some general 'housekeeping' for my credit reports, I'd like to keep a burner account available at all times as there are still banks which I have yet to switch to.If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

Moneybox was fairly quick to set up IIRC, as was Plum and Wealthify.0 -
I've tried 3 times, twice via app, and once using the online set up....and it fails to complete.
I'm trying to simply switch my First Direct account to them to take advantage of the £200 + benefits.
I contacted their 'customer care' team, who put me through to 3 other departments, none of which could clarify or confirm that my application was successful.
Last night I sent a complaint to them about their poor services, and asking why it takes so long and tedious to try and simply switch accounts to them.
I think I'll be looking elsewhere0 -

I have bonuses from both Halifax and Lloyds since 2020, but I might get lucky.
Let us know if it works out, I'd be very surprised if it did tho.2 -
Switch completed today, £200 went into the account yesterday!1

I currently have a Club Lloyds accont and am wondering about this.
So can someone confirm on the process.
I downgrade my club account to a standard one and then apply for a new Club including the switch? I guess I'll lose the 4 cinema tickets I have yet to use. What's the risk of being refused a Club account?
p.s. I notice it says 3 direct debits required, but only £2000 required to be paid in each month to negate the £3 fee. I was under the impression that 2 direct debits were required for the £3 fee refund under the current Club lloyds conditions - did I miss a change?0 -

The pay in gets the benefit of having the fee rebated each month and 2x DDs are only required to earn interest on any balance. You can have an account and not meet either of these criteria, but you will have to pay the monthly fee.The 3x DD requirement is different to this and is purely a requirement for the switch incentive. It has nothing to do with the daily operation of the account. As for downgrading an existing CL account and opening a new one, I've personally never had an issue with this. In the unlikely you get refused a new CL account, you can just re-upgrade your existing account back to CL status.0 -

Re: DD. I had forgotten - I used to use the DD to get the interest when it was good. I've given up keeping any significant amount of money in there now, I only use it for the freebies. I've been wasting my Direct Debits!1 -
I have utilised 50p DD website to set up 3 x DD's (Stripe payments) on Thursday last week, today the payments have been taken. I opened the Lloyds Club Current Account Monday, very straightforward and no more than 5 minutes to do. I have now initiated the switch as DD's are live, sent £2k to account and have a final switch date of 11th Nov, so should be interesting to see how quick the £200 gets paid, seems fairly quick by previous posters experiences. If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

I now have 4 direct debits showing in my list of dds with the Nationwide flex account I want to transfer but only 2 have yet paid out. Will I qualify for the bonus or do they need to have actually paid out from the flex account to meet the terms?0
