car rental ? and rental insurance ?( especially in Ireland because it's been a real pain there ! )
: )Without the rain you wouldn't have the rainbows !
I came into this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left!0 -
Tips on getting hotel upgrades seems to be a question that keeps popping up.
Also what happens if the price of the holiday goes up/down after its booked and who offers 24hr price matchIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
Travel Health advice, recommendations for cheaper malaria tablets, doctors charges for jabs, medical tourism etc...0

How about a separate little Travel Guides type folder, still under the Travel heading but another clickety click to get to it (and if you want another clickety click, they could be listed under continents?!)?
An individual could volunteer to start each thread (I'll do Marrakech, Dubai, Nottingham - can have UK too!), and the first post could be an overview - Currency, Language, Travel, key websites etc, and then others could be free to add their own tips and suggestions.
Might just avoid the endless threads about what to do in Dubai/ New York/ Barcelona etc?! xGone ... or have I?0 -
My only concern about subcategorising things too much is that many posts will be missed.
For instance, the Benefits and Jobhunting board has become quite tedious since they have split it into three sections, and there is one I rarely even go into.
Sometimes it is just nice to jumble through the various threads and give advice where you can - sometimes on the most unexpected of topics!Gone ... or have I?0 -
saveapenny - many thanks, upgrades added - can't find much on price fluctuations after booking a holiday though
odowdchr - I'll look into this (bearing in mind the forum rules on health advice) - there was a website I saw (an NHS one I think) with details on jabs and general advice for travelling to other countries, if anyone else sees it, do let us know
dmg24 - the travel guides sound like a fantastic idea - go for it - start a new thread for each destination on the board and let me know the links for adding above. You're taking Marrakech, Dubai, Nottingham, (and a UK guide in general too?). Any volunteers for other areas are most welcome! I'll pop a thread up asking for volunteers if we don't get any soon!
Nice one people, keep it coming  :T0 -

Great idea, well done Crabman.
I don't know if it's suitable for your index but the 'Packing Tips' thread might be useful.

Some threads have now been unstuck to create more space for daily threads and make it easier to browse the board.
Of course, these are all indexed in the A-Z above and as they are so popular, they will naturally remain on the first couple of pages anyway:
