I made a suggestion for a topic of Single/Solo travellers, it seems to have disappeared, I was just wondering why?0

I moved it over to the travel guides thread as that's where all the other suggestions for guide topics are (so it's easier to see at a glance who's doing what) - have a look and do feel free to have a go, it'd be great! :j

this site http://airlinedestinations.co.uk/ lists all flights within and out of the UK and would make a good addition under the 'airline info' section. - a little late though to get you to scotland;)almost glimpsing the light at the end of the debt tunnel...:j0 -
Great post, comprehensive information.

....
Travel Index and useful Websites?
Sorry, but at the very best this thread is a hotch potch, mish mashed selection of information that is very poorly indexed, poorly presented and with an all too obvious bias.
San Francisco - Las Vegas Road trip .... Are we going to have a link for every road trip? NY to Toronto? Route 66? and any one of a million and one routes worldwide?
Renting an apartment in NY .... yet no reference to Barcelona and any number of other apartment threads?
Visa for australia, visa for hong kong? and Visa for USA .... Rather than a "Visa To" thread for every country that has been previously mentioned and that may or may not contain accurate information, why not one link to the relevant UK Government website?
Can anyone beat this price to eurodisney? ..... There must be 1001 "Can anyone beat this price" threads on the go that you'll need to link to.... New York, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Dubai, Goa, Tenerife, Spain (perm any one from 1001) Brisbane, Brazil, etc, etc, etc, etc........
New York, Boston, Washington? Plan my holiday for me please! .... Well that one will result in a few hundred links.... Plan my holiday to China, Australia, Colombia, Malaysia, etc, etc, etc.
Middle East .. Egypt (Luxor Travel) Tips .... Excuse me for being picky, but since when was Egypt in the Middle East?
Middle East .. Holiday to egypt.... Erm ... See previous comment ... Egypt isn't in the Middle East.
Middle East .. Egypt help .... OK, let's just move Egypt, it'll be easier.
Parking At Gatwick? ..... Are we going to get a link to all the Parking at Heathrow, Luton, Cardiff, Bradford, Glasgow, Norwich, etc, etc, etc, etc threads?
IMHO .... Indexing the forum is the way forward, with perhaps country specific stickies, an airport parking sticky, visa sticky, etc but such a task in one thread just isn't achievable.... But this thread really isn't needed and whoever saw fit to make it a sticky..... Well. The MSE Dictionary

Middle East .. Holiday to egypt.... Erm ... See previous comment ... Egypt is not in the Middle East.some Northern African nations are considered to be ME - common factors I suppose being the language popularly used which is Arabic/Hebrew, religion predominantly being Islam, politically and culturally having the identity of immense significance in ME history and then ofcourse geographically centrally located between Africa and Asia so convenient to be known as part of ME. Specially in all travel brochures too they recognize Egypt as part of ME and promote a voyage into rich in history and civilization - without Egypt the description would be incomplete.
That's a fabulous collection and thanks ever so much crabman, you surely have put in so much effort and so much appreciated .
To improvize on it as you go along may be it needs to be indexed in alphabetical order within countries/continents and as well as of content/information - for instance you've put cost of learning to drive here amongst travel information which I'm not sure if it's the place. It would be become too crowded and when there's too much information it becomes tedious whilst searching for specifics.
Also may be special attention to a lay out with a little more appeal so that it makes it easier for the eyes and simpler to find out whilst performing a quick search. Use of a regular font and consistent spacing would be nice.
External links to be kept at the bottom of each heading or a separate post instead of fitting it randomly, likewise visa and passport to be kept either separate or to be given under a subheading within the country. Actually there is no need to go too much into detail once you've linked to tourist information of each country - it would invariably link onto all those info.
Would be best to keep it strictly money saving travel, which is flights-hotel-cruise-holiday package information rather than tour details like place/visa/travel planner if you know what I mean. I'd have much preferred if you'd just give an external link or a different post of all such information and leave it at it - the focus should be purely money saving as that's what people look for and that should be available at a quick glance.
As for addition information cheap car-parking at the main international airports within the UK do need a special mention if it hasn't been considered.
Claiming compensations and legalities to go under a separate post altogether please. You could divide the information in separate posts rather than have all of it in one post.
It's still comprehensive and I don't think you'd need to go anywhere on the web for travel information - you've done a brilliant job :A0
