Today I have filled the hole where the old wall mounted thermostat was. The plasterer just plastered round it when he did the hall, so when I got a new boiler with portable thermostat I gained a nice square dent ⬜. Now it is full of filler ready for sanding tomorrow. A small job, but it will improve the place.
I have not been outside today. It is horrible outside. I don't think it has stopped raining once. So living room is clean and tidy and hoovered. A few bits are waiting in the hall to leave.
I found 3 packs of blutack in a drawer. Blutack is really good for stopping flappy letterboxes flapping on windy nights.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for finding another job to apply for, for big sis being on the mend, for being dry inside, for Pip having a good day, for a happy few hours sorting out my crafted stuff.

Had a Spend free day - Really love the idea of an 8 day streak of Spend free days!
I hope that I will have a roofer arriving in the morning, rain/sunshine dependant. The forecast is looking more favorable. He was due to come yesterday.
Grateful for:
1. getting my expenses done (300+ quid)
2. delish food in the fridge, ready to rock and roll.
3. getting cozy with a hot water bottle.

Forgot to add that bit @apple_muncher, I was in a rush to chauffeur my son to the airport! Well done on all your craft items made, hope they all get sold when it's craft fair time.

Up earlier than I'd set my alarm for, as heard DS1 moving about & not enough time to nod off again. Low cloud on the road in places, thankfully I drove a different way home. Had breakfast, chivvied DS3 along & then headed to work. Had a good day, despite at times having 2 x 1:1s to look after due to incompetent co-worker. Massage after work, which I'd booked in August. Boy did I need it! Paid for by side hustle, so doesn't count as a spend.
Did 2 quick hand sewing jobs after tea.
Grateful for DS1 getting through security ok on hus first flight, a long overdue massage, a hot bath & an early night to comeUse it up, wear it out

NSD #1 today.
Today has been pretty quiet, after a crazy weekend. I wasn’t well (trigeminal neuralgia/migraine) so didn’t work, but sorted out a couple of admin bits and some washing during the day and collected together all the rubbish and recycling and did dinner in the evening. Am now over DB2s house as he has to drive DSIL2 to the airport overnight so I’m here to look after my nieces while he’s out. Fingers crossed he should be back in time to take them to school tomorrow.
I’m thankful for clearing a few packets of stuff from the freezer when making dinner, being ill at home rather than while I was away and having a reasonably quiet day.6 -

Grateful for a day without rain (much juggling of sopping wet clothing to get it all dry), plodding (3 bags to paper bin, 3 to rubbish, 2 to cans and put green and brown bin out for collection), taking a bag of pans and a bag of assorted plates to the cs.5

Evening everyone. I am happy to report nsd #1 here. The weather has been so bad the last few days, constant rain, all I want to do is hibernate. Christmas is weighing on my mind though and I question whether I should be preparing and buying presents now when I think of them.I’m sure I received an email today saying that selling on e*bay is now free so may need to investigate that this weekend. That could help declutter before more toys arrive from santa ha ha.I’m grateful for a quieter evening, mindfulness app and a warm bed to sleep in tonight.Hope people that need hugs feel better soon.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #826
