Happy October! No more 7pm sunsets, just crisp leaves,  colder mornings, and free apple hauls from the community orchards ( Google your local community orchard and it will tell you which trees are where).  Someone has left the rain tap running though......
All bills out, housekeeping from DH is in, pay from work is in. My latest ' pot' is full, so I can finally  get someone to do the bathrooms.
 I have an excess. It feels weird.

I've not done a pantry inventory; I've done a crafting inventory and I currently have approximately 286 items made. Eek! And still more than 2 months until a fair...

Please can I join in again this month?  Sorry I fell away with posting last month but had a few tough days and then was away last weekend. Will try to post a bit more regularly this month (though am away again this weekend so probably won’t post then). Will go through everything and post my plans later.

 pack a spare coat/ torch/ spade etc in your car in case of breakdown. 

DH would never go anywhere with me if I had a spade in the boot.  He is not stoopid  😂😆😂

Supper tonight is a traybake (well two trays really) of baby potatoes, sweet potatoes, onion wedges, garlics, red and yellow and orange peppers, lemon herb (not) chicken  and some (not ) chorizo,  with corn and whatever else takes my fancy between now and when it is cooked.

Someone gave me lots of (slightly past bb)  tins of beans. All different kinds of beans, so I will make a big chilli and freeze it in portions, and   do ' a bean, a green, and a grain'  salad, 

Fingers crossed for all PBers tonight  - I will be checking at midnight (under the covers).

I was supposed to have been working today, as we had a coffee morning for Macmillan planned in one of the shops, but unfortunately it was broken into last night and what with the police and the mess it had to be cancelled   I gather the owner is hoping to run it tomorrow, so I might pop down in the morning.

So, I made soup from tired vegetables, and did the ironing this morning, and spent the afternoon in the garden as the rain held off. I moved some plants and watered them in, had a good tidy up and the garden is now mostly ready for winter.

Shopping tomorrow and I am in the process of doing the list. The main thing is to prevent OH buying any meat as the freezer is stuffed! I am determined to use up some food this month. I have done a freezer inventory in readiness for this.
