was wondering if there is a fuse that connects to the off peak wires inside the heater?0

Update:
The electrician have made it into a single supply cable so all I did was set the charge time and it works now.
I was wondering what would happen if I set up a charge time for a dual supply?1 -
Edited my post, meant to say dual supply1

Glad to hear its sorted.
Where did they make the change ? CU ?
Re timings
From RF series G9 installations manual
And from the advanced menus section on charge times
Charge times should remain at the default settings (as shown above) for twin supply installations. This setting should only be used in single supply installations. Values entered here always take precedent.
Think basically get it wrong and they may well fail to charge in dual mode.
They shouldn't I guess ever use live feed in dual mode - it's not normally rated for charge input powers.
And for single mode note the warnings about gmt / dst on timers and the you might end up with less than 7 hours so unable to fully charge if get mismatched.1 -
he got the installation manual and copied from there.
the thing is, the downstairs storage heater always had the charge time set and it works.
got couple of issues with both. the bedroom one blows heat through the back and goes upwards but before it was blowing at the bottom to the front. i dont recall seeing anything in the settings for it.
do you know if i can change the way the heat blows out?0 -
Has bedroom heater been moved or was it the one just rewired ?Between you noticing the air direction reversal. Was it if you can remember OK when tested using just fan and boost element when dual wired ?As out at bottom is AFAIK normalHas it been cleaned recently ? Are the lower vents blocked (by oose/fluff etc ) - or perhaps more simply blocked in some way - as iirc you had the case opened - the case not correctly refitted might even be blocking flow. So air simply being forced out elsewhere.Has the fan control failed and so now running in reverse direction ?

Sounds like your electrician has completely bodged it !Instead of finding the fault and restoring the E7 feed to the cold heater, he's given up and left you with an inferior (and possibly much more expensive outcome if it's not always mimicking your meter's E7 times accurately). Worst of all, if it's blowing hot air out of the wrong place it might cause overheating, or even a fire ! 🔥Get a Dimplex approved professional to sort out the mess and leave it working safely and effectively.2
