i have other storage heaters but i only use one and that is the bedroom. i have tried one downstairs lat year and that worked.Froggy8 said:there is no app for this heater so i only use the controlling unit. the 2 plugs are on and so is teh fusebox/breaker box.Froggy8 said:i do have a thought though and wondering if maybe its not cold enough for the heat to come out? it is sunny outside so i went out and it was warm but indoor its quite cold so maybe outside has something to do with it. sorry if this sounds bit stupid.

i have no idea how to check the charge, all i know is it is set to 21 degrees.
i dont see where it says teh indoor temp is unfortunately0 -
My indoor temp today was only 16C - late this morning - when came back from a cycle ride - but the sun had been out a few hours by then. But was more like 19-20 ahead of the wind turning to from north over last 48 hours - so might just have been an issue.I have no idea how long the program module would retain settings. And wouldn't the boost heater use the same temperature level - assuming it's themorstatically controlled too.I have just found this Q&A item on the Dimplex help pagesSays might need 2-3 days to sort out charging - etc and supply the nominal heat.So maybe leave powered for a few days.1

Thank you, I will wait and see.
The boost temperature was at 30 degrees, bit higher than I normally have ut.0 -
Hi Froggy - when did you first switch this heater on to charge, last night? There is a way of checking what charge it took and other details in the menu - I can’t recall the details now and I know it varies for different ages of Quantum’s but @redfraggle may be able to help on this if they are about. Usually the first time they charge each winter they give off a slight smell of burning dust - did you notice that last night?Do you by any chance have any form of thermometer in the house so you can check the actual inside temperature?I would also suggest that if you can, stay up tonight until the time it should start charging up and see how the meter behaves - does the red light that indicates high power use start flashing or come on solidly? (You may need to turn off any immersion heater that might also be running to avoid a “red herring”. Another thought - do you have a smart meter? If so you may be able to check the half hourly interval data to see whether the heater did take a charge last night at all as that will narrow down the possible reasons for the issue.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

The 050rf s around 1.1kW input 500w output and 380 boost.
It's unlikely to make an impact on many ihd colour codes - especially if running a 3kW hw immersion regularly - but should register on a live current kWh on the ihd if has one.
The diagnostics menu on the rf depends on model revision, one such set described here

The history page 3 - in ex showing 419 min off peak history might be interesting if @Froggy8 heater version supports it.And looks like the page 4 is times of start / stop .1 -
I was referring to the actual meter rather than any IHD Scot - no idea how an IHD might behave with NSHs as we had traditional style meters in the flat. I don’t think we know whether the OP actually has smart meters either - although if they do, the half hour use data should certainly reflect a NSH charging itself up!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

What does the control unit in the top of the heater look like Froggy? On mine you can see what the heater says the main and max temperature in the room is and if yours is the same I can walk you through it.
Mine do take a day or two to get up and running too.Officially in a clique of idiots2 -
thank you guys
i do not have smart meter, i have switched the heater on about a week ago.
