Did they not offer any reason for that response?
One could say "who cares whether they've read it or not? A Defence has been filed".
You have filed a Defence and have an email receipt.Riggsy68 said:I only have 3 days left to file it.
Did you not file an Acknowledgment of Service as suggested in my post on 21 September at 5:55PM?
If not, I suggest you do that now.
You will then have over two weeks to get a Defence filed - notwithstanding you have already filed a Defence.

If I have already filed a defence, is an AoS still necessary?
What harm will it do?
It will either give you another fourteen days to sort out this mess, or it won't.0 -

We've seen this before. We have had threads about it including one in September. Check MCOL and I bet your defence is logged.
What do you mean 'defence' form'? You don't use any forms.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Panic over guys, we received an acknowledgment letter from the Court today. Let's see what happens next.0

Hi again guys. My wife has received this correspondence this morning. I'm guessing we are going to receive the same form to complete in the near future. What is the best way to proceed from here?0

You ignore the claimant's N180 for obvious reasons. You will either get one from the courts, or you can download your own and submit it.
All this is explained in the twelve step guide you should be following in the template defence thread. You should keep going back to that list so you know in advance.I married my cousin. You were expecting that weren't you?
You seem to have abandoned that checklist you were once following.
Item 7 on that checklist says...
Items 8, 9 and 10 on that list might be worth another read too.3 -
Good morning guys. My wife received a phone call from DCB last week asking if she wants to negotiate a payment, to which she replied no, we will see you in Court. She now has a court mediation telephone call date for this coming Tuesday. Is there anything she needs to prepare for or say during the conversation, other than 'we are not paying a penny, see you in Court'?
If I may just run you through the situation as to why she received a ticket in the first place: we went out for a meal in my wife's car and returned to the vehicle 17 minutes after the ticket had expired. She did not drive the vehicle into, or out of the car park, I did. She has already said on the defence statement that she was not the driver (that is all).0 -
Yep, that's right.
they'll just discontinue as usual2 -
