No I am not on any means tested benefits, too much income even without the CSA.

The stupid thing is I am not cyrrently 'technically' entitled to income support but would be if my housing costs were taken into account but you have to make your claim (which they refuse based on too much income) and then get the 38 week clock ticking away after that you get income support for your interest only.

But what always happened in the passed is the absent parent would send money for a few months and the income support would be stopped. Then he'd stop paying and my linking period to claim income support again and get immediate help with housing costs has finished, so I have to start the ball rolling all over again and wait 38 weeks for mortgage interest help!! Catch 22

He knows how to play the game, he aint earning all that money by being dull and managing to whip up £10,000+ in maintenance arrears to me alone, never mind what he owes the state from the very early days when I was a new parent on income support alone and you couldnt keep any maintainence at all, he owes the State just as much as he does me, but I am meant to take priority - yeah right

You certainly do!!! It is a bit tedious signing up again and again but it's worth it after a couple of months when you get the money!

Add Plum offers and Urfreecd to the list for another £1.40 - I've just seen them mentioned on Immoral_Angel's diary as being new 'freeby' money so I've just signed up.

BTW, I accept you are not 'financial experts' but I guess you guys would not be offering me this advice without knowing what was right and worked and anyway I can afford an independent financial advisor lol

Thats exactly it.

Just be careful as you have to cancel alot of them within the first month or you'll end up having to pay for things!

Right have written my life story out for the 3rd time today, this site will be charging me for bandwidth soon lol, so hopefully someone on the Child Support section will be able to point me in the right direction on that score
