Right orange can go then, that's a whopping £105 a month, even if I just keep the kids topped up it will be a fraction of that, I think orange are doing free texts now too or something, will have to get some sims
You might find some info on the telephones board!
And see here, and here for free Orange sim cards.0 -
I WILL be nice and I WILL send you hugs, so there
You're doing fantastically you really are. You're taking control now and it will feel good, I promise :TYou can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

southernscouser wrote: »If you stopped paying Orange then yes you would just end up having to pay the remainder of the contracts but they would almost certainly cancel your phone lines. So effectively you'd be paying for nothing. This is why it might be better to reduce the tarrifs, or maybe reduce them then ask them to cancel your contract as a gesture of goodwill. Explain to them that you suffer from depression and you believe you have a good case for these contracts to not be enforcable due to your illness.
It all depends on whether you want a reduced package or whether you want rid of them completely following the advice from In Search of Me.
Rightio, that sounds like a good idea, if they wont cancel out of goodwill then they may as well go unless they can really reduce my tarfiif to as much as I would have to put on PAYG - prob not even £10 a month, so I will call them tomorow and see whats what.Ballifs won't turn up at your door unless they have a court order. The only way they can obtain a court order is if you refuse to pay your debts. This is why it's important to send them a token payment of £1. If they went in front of a judge to obtain a charging order (think thats what it's called) they wouldn't stand a chance. A judge would look at your finances and see you are making an attempt to pay them back.
With doing Orange and the creditors that's already made up for £160 of the £250 I was down, my food bill will be slashed, the kids get free dinners.
If I have to not pay water for a while then I will do that too.
If I could meet my mortgage of £513 how long would a normal lender be willing to wait for the arrears. Like I said before, I can start earning in June, ok it wont be much being newly trained but I will be able to do permitted work and earn up to £80 without penalty and be supported at work by my team. But that's 6 months away.
I dont mind living like a pauper for 6 months at all, but would a lender wear waiting that long until I can start to repay - or the CSA getting sorted of course0 -
This place is wonderful, did anyone ever tell you that.
I can barely see through my piggy eyes anymore, I'm not very good when people are 'personally' nice to me.
3 FREE orange sims on the way!!! And the kids sorting out all their old playstaion games and CDs for eBay, I've told them I need the space lol0 -
I feel it's it important to just remind you that none of us are qualified financial advisors. All our opinions are just based on what we have learnt from this site so definately speak to the CCCS for their free advice. Thats not to say what we are saying is wrong but you know what I mean.
Do you have internet banking as that would be the easiest way to send them £1 otherwise yeah just set up a standing order. But let them know, probably best in writing, that this is a temporary situation while you sort yourself out. You will let them know when your situation improves.
With regards to your water just remember that it's another bill you have to catch up on. So ideally it's best to try and stay in the black.
I'm not that clued up on mortgages but the most important thing is communication. Don't ignore it hoping they won't notice. They will!
Work out what you can afford to pay them back extra a month but do not over stretch yourself. They won't want you defaulting on your payments so hopefully they will be accomodating to your situation. Perhaps think about changing your payment date to be after you get your biggest payment paid in to your account if you think it will be easier that way! :think:0 -

You're in the wrong place then hun - we're all (well, most of us are) nice around here
Glad you've sorted the sims, I always have some here, so let me know if you need anyIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Just a thought but are your benefits based on you receiving CSA payments?
If so you could be entitled to more!
