    Seriously though, I bet you could probably make at least 20 meals or so there by just buying a few extra bits and pieces.

    You could make a chilli with the mince, tomatoes, beans and chilli powder (you could add onions/kidney beans too), and have it with rice one day, and use any leftovers to make chilli burgers, or have it on jacket potatoes.

    We like burgers with cheese and pineapple too, even though they are a bit naff! :o You could make potato wedges to go with them.

    With some added veg you could probably get 3 meals out of the chicken too - roast, curry, soup (if there's not quite enough you could use the chicken breast too).

    And fishfinger sandwiches....yummmmm!!!

    If you like quorn, it's cheaper than chicken, and nice in things like the cook-in sauces you have. It's on offer in Tesco this week too.

    Right have done the 'inventory' of our freezer and cupboards.. :eek:
    Didn't realise we had so much food!!! this is what we've got...

    Freezer:
    1 1/2 bags of frozen mince so enough mince there for a huge bolognese sauce.
    1/2 bag of party sausage rolls (:rotfl:)fun lunch on sat/sun
    2 turkey drumsticksfor your eldest, cheese and tom pizza for OH and a burger each for you and the little one
    1 cheese and tomato pizza
    Nearly full box of 50 burgers could shred say 10 of these to use in lasagne, then another meal with more burgers the following week.
    Approx 10 sausages
    Bag of oven chips chips to go with the pizza etc above
    500g stewing steakget some ready roll pastry and make a steak and onion pie. The secret is to slow cook the steak, for a couple of hours on the day BEFORE you make up the pie, makes it really yummy!
    1/4 of a chicken breast
    Whole Chicken roast chicken dinner on sunday
    Bag of ice cubes??
    4 steam Steak and Kidney pies 2 meals for you and Ste, children have the burgers
    Bag of mixed veg various meals as accompanyment (sp)
    10 fish fingersso one meals worth there 2 per child 3 per adult
    1 naan bread
    500g steak mince enough to make another bolognese sauce, or a weak chilli so all the family can have it. Or else do it with the tikka sauce below.

    Cupboards:
    1 tin new potatoes casserole with bits of the roast chicken you don't eat above
    1 tin sweetcorn casserole
    4 tins beans casserole one of these
    4 tins spaghetti
    A few tins chicken soup use one to put in the chicken casserole to give a bit of body.
    1 jar red lasagne sauce
    1 jar white lasagne sauce used above
    3 tins chopped tomatoes to go in the bolognese/chilli
    lasagne sheets
    1 jar bourbignon sauce
    2 jars tikka sauce
    1 jar rogan josh sauce
    1 tin balti sauce
    tube tomato puree in chilli/bolognese above.
    Some chili powder
    mixed herbs
    1/4 bag pasta
    1/4 bag of rice
    Spaghetti
    Chicken/beef/veg stock cubes
    2 sachets chicken supreme sauce
    2 sachets sausage casserole sauce
    misc other sachets of sauce (lol)
    tomato sauce
    cheese sauce
    Gravy

    Plus:
    Eggs it doesn't have to be pancake day to do pancakes for the evening meal.
    Bag of carrots
    butter
    potatoes

    hope this helps
    you could also get some tortillas and do them with mince in them

    Bag of mixed veg to go into soup & with mince & tatties
    10 fish fingers BUTTIES!
    1 naan bread for chicken curry
    500g steak mince mince & tatties

    Cupboards:
    1 tin new potatoes
    1 tin sweetcorn with kate & sidney pies
    4 tins beans with toad in the hole, or add to sausage casserole / shepherds pie to make double meals
    4 tins spaghetti lunches
    A few tins chicken soup lunches
    1 jar red lasagne sauce see frozen mince
    1 jar white lasagne sauce ditto
    3 tins chopped tomatoes pasta/spag bol with frozen mince, tom puree, herbs, bit of chili, pasta
    lasagne sheets see frozen mince
    1 jar bourbignon sauce see steak
    2 jars tikka sauce see chicken
    1 jar rogan josh sauce
    1 tin balti sauce
    tube tomato puree see chopped toms
    Some chili powder see chopped toms
    mixed herbs see chopped toms
    1/4 bag pasta see chopped toms
    1/4 bag of rice see chicken
    Spaghetti see chopped toms
    Chicken/beef/veg stock cubes
    2 sachets chicken supreme sauce
    2 sachets sausage casserole sauce

    Ok, there's a few ideas......should be enough for 2 weeks + another week or so for the freezer...don't forget to make double of things like Shepherds pie & bol sauce....when does Ste get paid again?
