Hi xx
Thank you for the posivibes. I think they worked while I was at TT. Big boss came and was very supportive. I actually think she does value me.
However. Ladies. There was a slight hiccup in your posivibes when I left work. Orrrrr. They worked extremely well so I'm at home and not in a hospital bed! Just after leaving work another car ran into my car. Totally not my fault. Two witnesses reassured me of that. Police were called as the other car was stranded in the middle of the road. First time I've ever been breathalysed. Reading was zero. DS brought me home and I spent the evening talking to recovery/ insurance/ hire car people. I've just eaten some toast as I realised I was hungry.
I unpacked my lunch bag. Is that flying? Arranged a lift to work and back tomorrow. Hire car is coming on Thursday. And breathe....

Glad you're OK after both events, round - hope you sleep well tonight x
Belated birthday wishes to CoG - you managed to keep that quiet
Some more flying achieved this morning after my earlier post, and this afternoon I sorted a pile more photos and decluttered most of them. Still several hundred more to go, though. This evening I went with a friend to our local National Trust Centre meeting for a talk on a local girl who was transported to Australia on the First Fleet - very interesting.6 -
Cloth_of_Gold said:Hello everyone. I've been AWOL for a while - partly because I spent every spare moment watching the Paralympics. The athletes are so inspirational - especially the two I saw with no arms, one who was 49, swimming using only their legs, and I think both won a medal (in different events) - incredible. I've also had a birthday so am now even older but not sure I'm any wiser! I haven't had the time to read all the posts I've missed so I hope that everyone's been ok.
Today:
- gym swim
- visited friend in care home
- put paperwork from all assessments in my 'in tray' in binders then boxes. I have to keep the raw data for 6yrs, so the latest boxes will go up in the loft, thus starting to declutter my office. Started to throw away more bits of paper on the desk and 'in tray'.
- culled a load of emails. Loads more to go through as I haven't kept on top of it in the last few months.
- drumming practice
- wrote an email and tweaked a CV for some voluntary work.
I think that's about it - where did the time go?Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -

Happy Birthday CoG
more i toning done, another shelf sorted, seems slow but this was interwoven with other tasks. Jam stocktake was interesting, I still have marmalade. Not sure I need 10 mini jam jars though.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all xx
I went back to sleep eventually. And had weird dreams. Anyhoo I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast, supped a brew, completed Wordle and....drum roll please .... completed Connections with no lives lost. (It's not the sadistic setter today folks)
I will feed the birds and put out the recycling. Colleague is picking me up just after 8 am. Once at work I need to sort the paperwork out to arrange the hire car for tomorrow. And complete any forms sent in by my insurance company. I may even do some work 😉.
Too much adulting was required yesterday. Today I'm going to be a frog. 🐸🐸
Belated happy birthday CoG xx
One of the policemen yesterday said his birthday was the same day as mine. He was 27. They both looked about 12. But very efficient. And he said I looked good for 64. Charmer 😊
I've sent a thank you text to the kind lady who stopped, was a witness, and supported me in the aftermath of the RTC. Not sure if you're supposed to but it would have been rude not to.
Well. If my head was a shed before. It is now an even bigger shed! A double garage? With a lean to attached for random carp. Sounds about right.
Have a good day.

Round.. I am so very glad you are safe and unhurt.. I'm not surprised you didn't sleep.. the shock and adrenaline of the accident and the anxiety of making calls is enough to keep most people awake. you will probably just crash in a few days when the adrenaline drops. I hadn't read the thread because I was mad busy as usual but I always have a ready supply of WAC snacks, kitkats and blue riband at the moment.. I was just going to bed at 2am! If there is anything we can do just ask
... you are safe and unharmed and alive and that is the absolute most important thing ((((hugs))))
My sister is a loser so today I am the perfect child and being my mothers carer while she exchanges money and buys dog food for her holiday. She says it is because she is deaf but she never needed accompanying to big places before someone tried to kill her so I think there may be a bit of anxiety about that in there.
Tea, medication for hurty legs and hair washing today.. thats my spoons gone.. then I have to trek al over the planet with my mother.. I will need a 5pm nap before I can cook dinner.. I might do sausage casserole and just hoik it all in the AF (we need a better acronym for airfryer!!!!)

aaarrghhh
I've come in to work to an email about the 20 year old cat that lives across the road, and is incredibly skinny (but otherwise perfectly healthy) claiming it's been abandoned and do we have CCTV ... it HASN'T been abandoned, the owners have a sign on their gate explaining all about the cat and STILL people assume this thin, collar-wearing cat is a stray...no he's just really really old! And someone else complaining that a post that has been shared to our work facebook page has a typo - well it will have, it was created by someone with dyslexia - but seriously why complain to me? ....aaargh
DD has gone to Devon. DW emptied. WM opened but not emptied. Somehow I doubt I am going to manage a full day at work if I am going to be wound up by idiots....Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Valli.. forward the complaints to me, I am more than happy to deal with idiots today.. I'm in fine fettle for shenigans!
I have about half a spoon left.. I need to fold 3 loads of laundry, hang 2 out, do the DW, change my bedding just for fun, post 2 parcels.. one I just remembered about and need to trot upstairs (thats my half spoon gone) and dig them out (pair of trainers) .. and package them.
AND I promised my mother I would help her today.. and my stairs need vacuuming.
I have washed my hair (not managed to brush it yet so I look like a witch) and filled a bag of rubbish for the bin. I looked at 2 boxes I need to sort and empty/refill with christmas items.
I need to email 2 school because 2 girls are at dentist in the morning.. and OH too..
