Just to be on the safe side I rang the support line and they said it should have taken two weeks to process. They would have apparently sent me a reminder next week but her advice was to re-send which I have already done this morning. She will also put a note on the system.

Just information for anyone else that does not see an update after 14 days on their MCOL file.

Very useful. We should remember this.

  • Can anyone please explain this to me - the general sanctions order?

I returned my N180 questionnaire on the 29/10/2024, but when my case had not been updated I rang them on the 27/11/2024 to explain that I hadn't seen an update on the case.

Was told that my case would be updated with a note to state my N180 had been returned on the 29/10 and then resent on the 27/11, both of which I have an automated response for.

    You can ignore that line.
The next line on that Claim History shows that the CNBC has received your completed DQ and in due course your case will be transferred to a hearing court.

That line is the auto-reminder that the CNBC person mentioned. Happens automatically if they think a DQ has not been returned.

You'll probably receive a letter. Ignore it as you are back on track.  The date doesn't matter.

  • Ok that's a relief, I thought they had ignored the fact I have returned the N180 on two occassions and just put me down for a general sanction.

Ok quick update, I had the mediation appointment and refused to offer anything stating that I believe it is an unfair fine. They offered a reduced fine by about £30 less but go the same answer.

This was on the 24th Jan 2025, I just check on the MCOL and it was transferred to my local court on the 02 Feb 2025 but I have not heard anything as yet.

I am guessing it could take time for the court to send me a date etc, in the mean time it is also possible that DCB will also clsoe the case?

Likely months till you get s hearing date and that's when DCB Legal will discontinue.
