Santander Changed My Account

Just had an email definitely from Santander Bank saying that they have changed my 123 current account to a Select today.
Checked online & it is now a Select account.
I did NOT authorise this account change at all.
I do NOT meet the criteria for this account no way !!
Any ideas as to what is going on ??
Santander chat are completely useless.
Anybody have an email address for a written complaint ??

It looks like Santander have stopped the 123 account. Maybe "Select" is the closest account to the 123 that is better than the 123 ?0

AFAIK, it won't have any disadvantages for you, only potential advantages. It is difficult to think of reasons for complaining.

I don't have an income of £5000 a month to pay in for a start.
I also don't have savings of £75 000
And I also did not authorise Santander to change the account without contacting me first.0 -

"How dare you give me a free upgrade" isn't really the most convincing cause for complaint...8 -

The only difference is that they might answer the phone a bit quicker.
It's a freebie, why worry.7 -

I think the OP just has Select on top of their 123 account, so nothing has actually changed there.2 -
I've had a 123 account for as long as I can remember. If they want to offer me a free upgrade i'd be happy to put my name forward. Perhaps it's just a waiting game and my offer is already in the pipeline.....let's hope 😁😁2

Would be very strange to just shift customers to another account without at least 90 days notice as per T/C.Life in the slow lane0
