Thank you for the info/advice KeithP and Grizebeck. Thought the same and will ignore, even though they give 7 days from the letter date to pay, which is today when the letter was delivered!0

Update on this PCN. Received an email from Popla today:
"Decision - SuccessfulAssessor Name - XXXXX XXXXXXAssessor summary of operator case:The operator has issued the Parking Charge Notice (PCN) as the motorist parked without a valid permit.
Assessor summary of your case:- The appellant states they are the registered keeper of the vehicle and the Notice to Keeper does not comply with the Protection of Freedoms Act (PoFA) 2012. Upon reviewing the operator’s evidence, the appellant has reiterated their grounds. The appellant has provided a copy of the Notice to Keeper and their grounds.
Assessor supporting rational for decision:I am allowing this appeal, with my reasoning outlined below: The Protection of Freedoms Act (PoFA) 2012 is a law that allows parking operators to transfer the liability to the registered keeper in the event that the driver or hirer is not identified. After issuing a Notice to Driver, the parking operator has 56 days to issue a Notice to Keeper from the date of the contravention. The operator has failed to do this as the date of the contravention was 25/05/2024 and the date of issue for the Notice to Keeper was 19th August 2024. Therefore, the Notice to Keeper was not issued within the permitted timeframe. The appellant has identified themselves as the registered keeper and the Notice to Keeper has failed to comply with the requirements of PoFA, due to this, the parking operator cannot pursue the appellant as the registered keeper. Accordingly, I must allow the appeal. I note the appellant has raised grounds of appeal and evidence, however I have not considered these, as they do not have any bearing on my decision."
We won!!
That's two PCN's won in the same week! Nice way to end the week. Massive thank you to the contributors and going down the route of the one-liner appeal which won.

Well done3 -
Very good and quite right, POPLA.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

ssm_mse said:I’m facing a similar situation with Select Parking. I received two letter about two infractions in early May, but I never received any PCN letters—just outstanding charge notices from TNC debt collectors, dated August 29th (three months later!). This notice informed me that the appeal period for these infractions had already passed. I also received a Notice of Intention to Instruct Solicitors on September 10th.Last week, I sent the “newbie” letter to both TNC and Select Parking Ltd. I received a response from TNC via email on Monday, September 13th, with two photos related to the first infraction. The first photo shows the car entering the parking lot, and the second shows it leaving, but neither includes a picture of the car parked in a space. The email did include the location, date, and time of the alleged infraction. I’ve also requested details regarding the second infraction but haven’t received anything yet.Should I appeal to POPLA? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Well I have got news: I have recently received two new letters ( the last one in december), this time from Select Parking. These letters demand payment to a company called Credit Investigation Services, which shares the same address as TNC (a debt collection agency). I assume Credit Investigation Services is another debt collection company.
Until now, I have ignored letters from the debt collectors. However, these new letters are directly from the PCN (Parking Charge Notice) company, Select Parking (please find the letters attached).
Should I continue ignoring these letters from Select Parking, or would it be advisable to make an appeal?

Hello everybody, interesting timing from the poster above ssm_mse, as we received the following letter from Select Parking Ltd in the post today. Looks the same as the one in ssm_mse’s thread but no CIS letter….yet.
Just updating this thread to keep track of a timeline.Presumably we will ignore this. Even though we won at Popla, they seem persistent.1 -
It sure is the same PCN won at POPLA, as per the previous pages on this thread.
I agree that the letter comes from TNC also, as the envelope return address is in Birmingham, yet Select Parking Ltd are registered in Uxbridge.
I believe phone calls can be recorded on an iPhone now! But as the keeper is Mrs and all the letters in her name, she would have to be the one to call them and query this? Or can I do this on her behalf? Fully up for phoning them and recording the call.1
