Thank you, I managed to call them via someone else and got them to give an extension so I can call them when I'm back in the UK.0

We dont recommend calling them , just the LoC response template in the second post in the newbies sticky thread, nothing else
During or at the end of a court claim is the ultimate resolution, unless you achieve a plan A cancellation by the landowner or managing agents or business in the meantime1 -
But Gr1pr they unfortunately don't give people the option to email them. They only allow you to reply via phone or letter. The emails provided above all have automated responses saying you can't email here to ask for an extension. I have emailed them with the NEWBIES email nonetheless0

The option to email them is widely known and the addresses are on this forum for half a dozen legal companies, in order to correspond by email. Everyone else using the advice here dont have problems using emails to send the LoC response to Moorside Legal. You must use this forum as a resource, nearly everything you can think of has come up here previously
Le Kirk gave you the common emails for Moorside Legal on the previous page, emails can be sent from most places in the world2 -

So I emailed them with the NEWBIES reply nonetheless, and I received an email reply from Moorside Legal stating:
"Dear whitenight30Moorside Legal"Our reference: XXXXOur client: UKPS LtdOur client has instructed us to collect the outstanding balance of £170.00 in relation to an unpaid Parking Charge Notice (PCN).The PCN was issued for Unauthorised Parking at Bermuda Park - Main Car Park on the dd/m/yyyy.The Terms and Conditions on which UKPS Ltd's services are provided are clearly displayed throughout the private land. Please be advised that there are several signs within this location displaying the terms and conditions, As you breached the terms and conditions of the car park, this PCN was correctly issued. Considering the evidence, we are satisfied that the PCN has been issued in line with industry standards and is compliant with the International Parking Community’s (IPC) code of practice. The signage of the car park also complies with the International Parking Community’s Code of Practice.By entering and parking the vehicle on our client's private land, you agreed to enter into a contract with our client and to be bound by the terms and conditions of that contract. The terms and conditions were clearly displayed at the entrance and in prominent places within the car park. Due to your failure to comply with the terms and conditions, our client has issued the PCN.Please note that we will not be addressing any further correspondence related to disputes of the same nature, as we have already provided you with a response. However, should you wish to raise a new dispute, we will investigate the matter further and respond accordingly. Our answers to your questions are as follows:- The additional charge which has been levied on your Parking Charge of £70 is the amount set out in both the British Parking Association and International Parking Community Codes of Practice as the amount which may be added to a Parking Charge when a Parking Charge remains unpaid and when further recovery is required. Our Client is a member of the International Parking Community which is a government approved Accredited Trade Association (ATA) for Private Parking. Our Client adheres to the ATA’s Code of Practice. The £70 does not represent the cost of recovery but is a reasonable amount in relation to the Parking Charge amount, in order to encourage early payment of the Parking Charge without the need for debt recovery. It is a fair amount set by our Client’s government-approved Accredited Trade Association Code of Practice. There are however also costs incurred by our client in relation to debt recovery services.

We have noted on your account you are seeking debt advice and have placed the matter on hold for 30-days. If you fail to make payment after the 30-day period has lapsed, we may be instructed to issue a County Court Claim against you.You may wish to seek independent legal advice.Yours sincerely0 -
However, there has now been a new twist to my situation - I will be moving countries for work in 2/3 weeks. Thereafter, I will not be in the UK for the foreseeable future.
Given how far I am through this ordeal, I would really appreciate any guidance on how to navigate this situation. What was already a confusing process for me has now become even more complex, unfortunately.0 -
You must reply to them giving your full new address for service and insisting that the UK address is no longer one at which you can be reached.
As the case is on hold, send that email around day 25 just after your move to another country and attach proof of where you are living. Tell them this means you are outside of the jurisdiction of the English court and they must immediately communicate this to their clients and erase the old UK address so that it cannot be used for a court claim.
Finish by saying if they fail to return the file to their clients and close the case you will report Moorside Legal (and its Principal Solicitor, Rebecca Horton-Grainger for their apparent failures to meet professional standards) to the SRA.
DO NOT SEND IT TOO EARLY OR THEY MIGHT FILE A CLAIM WHILE YOU'RE STILL IN THE UK.
BUT DO NOT DELAY THIS PAST DAY 30 FROM THAT REPLY.
YOU CAN'T COMFORTABLY HANDLE RESPONDING TO A CLAIM FORM WHEN LIVING ABROAD.
STOP IT BEFORE IT HAPPENS.
HENCE NAMING THE PRINCIPAL IN-HOUSE SOLICITOR AND THREATENING THEM PERSONALLY WITH THE SRA IF THEY FAIL TO CLOSE THE CASE, DESPITE KNOWING THAT YOU LIVE OUT OF JURISDICTION. THE IDEA IS TO MAKE THEM TAKE NOTICE.
DO NOT SUGGEST ANY TIMEFRAME FOR RETURN TO THE UK BUT DO MAKE IT CLEAR THE UK ADDRESS IS NOT & WILL NEVER BE GOOD FOR 'SERVICE' IN FUTURE.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
