?
You have 8 different Lifestyle tarrifs, run it through all of them and see what comes cheapest.
Pensioner does look good for your lifestyle, there's also Work from home lifestyle but it doesn't look that good sadly.yes kWhI cant see pensioner. Only lifestyle on its own.maybe in my postcode only 1 lifestyle tariff available.ah ok thanksI am not pensioner tho so if they check they will find out ha
95% people jumped on the 5p tarrifs - but as soon as you select that you work from home, 9-5 worker, pensioner - it changes your tariff. Similar with selecting solar - it changes for worse.
So now, do you think that 95% people only have EV, battery, don't have solar and don't have job?

(I don't have a horse in this race as I will only consider switching to them if they can survive and produce a decent length of time being competent, I am just keeping an eye on the options in case they do become a viable option for me to consider.)0 -

Doesn't get into the details of pricing though. For that you use the quote page.It looks to me that my Lifestyle is closer to that of a pensioner than a 9-5 worker.1 -
Thanks. So the relevant part of the Tariffs info for this is:
"You’ll pay a fixed rate daily standing charge. You will receive up to three periods per day of lower unit rates. Your unit rate will vary according to the time of the day. Your rates are inclusive of VAT at 5%. The different unit rates for each time period are defined by the lifestyle data you entered. These rates and times are fixed for the length of the contract unless you change your tariff change your method of payment, fail to make payments to us or the government or regulatory bodies announces any actual or proposed changes resulting in your price being required to change."
I would be interested to hear whether people have had any further T&Cs specific to the different lifestyle variations of the tariff - but this is purely out of curiosity myself, it's not going to make much difference to me until potentially a way down the line, and by then things may well have changed anyway!0 -
Looking at the Tomatopia offer they have, anyone have this installed?
We use 7200Kwh a year (on Octopuss Tracker Dec 2023), Tomato site has quoted me £169.99 per month for Tomatopia, which I assume is the 11000Kwh cap. We also have Gas (combi boiler, central heating, gas oven and gas cooker).
I am also planning to get an EV (first timer) this time next year so hoping the extra 3800Kwh will cover this, I average out about 10000 miles per year.
Does the Tomatopia system integrate well with an EV charger such as Zappi or Hypervolt? I assume the ev is set to charge from the grid?
What kind of kit do they install? good brand/quality?

nekr0mantik said:im tempted to switch to TE Smile from octopus tracker. Seems much cheaper but feels wrong as no one else estimates £53 a month for elec. Current Octopus tracker I pay £60 to £65 a month.
Octopus Tracker is best for people that have a typical pattern of use and can't or wont load shift much - outside of that demographic it can be a relatively expensive tariff compared with a good TOU tariff.
TE don't have access to detailed 30 minute data, so they have to guess your pattern of usage and how much you can change it.0 -
I've just received my first bill and, although it had a graph of the correct lifestyle tariff at the top, all of the daily graphs show my usage as if I were on E7 with night usage between 0:00 & 7:00. Is everyone seeing this?0

Just signed up for lifestyle (no additional options set), and immediately have access to mywatts website. I really hope that the visibility of my export MPAN there doesn't affect my SEG with Scottish power!Looks like a very good tariff, low SC, some hours overnight to charge the battery and do the laundry, and a couple of cheaper hours in the evening to shower! let's hope the transfer goes smoothly!1

Hope everything goes well. You should be able to make it pay with a battery at this time of the year. We also do laundry at night and use the cheaper hours in the day for showers and also use electric heaters in cheaper slots. We used 500kw at a cost of £80.15 in December and reduced our gas bill by over £25 compared with last year.0
