Hello.
I've got a Regular Saver with RBS which lve funded via my main current account with another bank manually every month to the RBS current account.
My question is, can l directly set up a standing order from my current account (different bank)to go directly into my RBS Regular saver without using the RBS current account.

Can’t see why not - the Regular Saver either accepts funding from external accounts or it doesn’t. My NatWest version happily accepted a Faster Payment from my Chase current account. A Standing Order is just an automated Faster Payment.

I have been funding my RBS Digital RS from an external account for months. Zero issues.1

You can fund it from any current account, internal or external. As long as the sort code and account number are correct your standing order will deliver funds to RBS Digital Regular Saver[Deleted User] said:Hello.

I thought at least £1 had to come from an RBS account?
From: https://www.rbs.co.uk/savings/digital-regular-saver.htmlThere's no minimum deposit to open the account, however you'll need to set up a standing order from your Royal Bank of Scotland current account of between £1 and £150 each calendar month into the account. So you can do that and send in £149 from elsewhere. That's my understanding.

I remember having a NatWest standing order that I cancelled when the account became no longer top of the pile (then manually funding varying amounts or not at all depending on available funds.) If they had a mirroring requirement they haven’t contacted me about it, so it might be that it was only obligatory when opening the account.sausage_time said:I thought at least £1 had to come from an RBS account?

If OP has the Rewards account, it might be worth setting the RBS SO to take the £2 a few days after it is due (to allow for late payments due to weekends etc) and set the £148 to come in from elsewhere at the beginning of the month.1 -
I have both, RBS and NatWest, since October 2020. I've never set up SOs for these accounts, always fund them manually.sausage_time said:I thought at least £1 had to come from an RBS account?
