i, along with other friends, have been upgraded to day guests at tomorrows wedding (friends daughter) as relatives of the other bride have cancelled less than 24 hours before the ceremony. So rude.
Good job i did all my wotrk cleaning today!

I hope you have a good time at the wedding @Valli It's years since I went to a wedding. This morning I took a bag of rubbish and a bag of recycling down and then went to the large M&S in the shopping centre for a few food items. I also bought some more gladioli; they are a real bargain at £3.00 for 7 stems. This is the third lot we've had; the first were yellow, then red/orange and now pink. I bought a small almond croissant in there which we shared with coffee when I got back. After we'd had lunch and I'd washed up a Waitorse delivery arrived and I put the fridge things away. I still haven't put the other things away but will do so tomorrow. I then cleaned the bathroom and vacc'd around. I bought some greengages in Marks and I helped A to cut them up and stew them and he had some for pudding after supper.I've read some more of The Magic Toyshop, which I'm really enjoying. A parcel of 3 books arrived form the library yesterday though so I need to finish it so that I can start on them. I'm well over half way though and it's not a long book.6

Morning all. Hope you're doing well today. Enjoy the wedding Valli.
I'm not sure how I want to spend today yet and rain is forecast later. Just attempted wordle. Good luck with that today folks! It was giving me letters I hadn't even attempted and was very American.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Hi all
I am here, it's been a funny old week. Anxiety has been very up and down but we ended the week on a high with a visit to a rather smart restaurant with DS1 and GF for a treat. DH wasn't hugely keen as he is not into fancy food so begrudges the cost, but he ended up saying it was the best meal he had ever eaten. Nice to get dressed up a little and so lovely to spend time with DS and GF, I am very lucky!
Today I am doing my Saturday volunteering then it's our annual village show, which is odd because we don't know that many people in the village now that the kids have grown up and people have moved on. It will do me good to go and banish some of the social anxiety. I am slightly hungover, need to replenish my fluid levels.
I gave the kitchen a proper clean yesterday and put the clean laundry away. There is more flying to do and the car desperately needs hoovering out, no idea how the boot is so disgusting. I might pack some of my summer clothes away too.
Have a good Saturday all xx7 -
Morning all,
Steady rain here, the high winds of yesterday seem to have passed by, DD’s tent apparently survived although whether that is still the case, I haven’t heard.
We are spending the weekend with DSiL and BiL for DSiL’s big birthday. I am getting to meet my first great niece, which makes me feel aged. The offending dress is nearly made for the occasion - I need to pull my finger out right now and do the hem. And ignore the snags which I hope are visible to only me as I haven’t got time to rectify them. And wrap her present, and write the card which I did actually find time to make. And take the opportunity to offload some french beans and courgettes! Ah yes, this will be why I haven’t flown all week, not because I’ve been stuck in a alternative universe.
Have a lovely time at the wedding, Valli. So rude of the other guests, assuming it was totally unavoidable.
YL, glad you enjoyed your evening out, you deserved it.5 -
I hope all Flyladies (inclusive term, obviously) have a lovely weekend, whether going out and about or staying at home. Or even revelling in the fact that it's Day 1 of Holibobs. Or that have been feeling under the weather and are now on the road to a full recovery. And for those going to a wedding, I hope your hats keep your hair dry and your shoes are comfortable.Since I spring cleaned the sitting room we still haven't got round to re-organising the pictures. I took them all down and had to gently wash the walls because they were dust-magnets and decided that the room could do with a cost-free revamp by swapping out pictures from other parts of the house. One corner is done and I'm reallly chuffed with it, but the other corner is proving a little more difficult. It's No 1 on our list of Things To Do today. That's taken three weeks! The cats both need a pedicure. Higgs, in particular, has talons and as he touches us when he wants something, that's urgent. Twiggle's would silently curl in and grow into her pawpads if we didn't trim them. But the real Frog this weekend is tracking down where the stench in our bathroom is coming from. It was just a slight background noisome thing about a week ago but it's now unmistakable and can only be a pipe problem. Our plumber is busy getting student lets ready for the September/October so what he's said is, 'We'll only do what you can do, but more expensively.' I heart the fact that he's trying to save us money but he's the expert on how and where to track down the leak so I do rather wish he would pop round. We took all the boxing off the sewerage pipe from the loo to where the downpipe changes direction yesterday and stopped using it and put a bowl of vinegar in there but today we have to actuallly find the leak. Now that it's only clean water that will be going through I'm going to put paper towels under the pipe all the way along and flush the loo repeatedly to see if we can detect any drips. What I absolutely don't want to do is wait until a stain appears on the sitting room ceiling. Any suggestions from anyone about how to go about this would be gratefully received.Wordle okay this morning, thanks to the heads up by Jazee. Connections, not so much, despite me getting all four lines yesterday in less than two minutes, which was a first. Normally I get two lines in about 30 minutes and spend the rest of the day revisiting it, often unsuccessfully even then.Better is good enough.7

Morning all xx
I woke up at 8 am. That's a lie in for me. I'm up, made my bed, sploshed bleach down the loo, put out the rubbish and recycling, put new bin bags in bins, fed the birds, put cans of pop in the fridge and recycled the box, brought down the laundry hamper, completed Wordle - seriously???, and was the same as Valli on Connections: two lines easy, failed on last two. Oh. And I've finished reading a book - another one for the cs bag.
Enjoy the wedding Valli.
Good luck finding the leak HB. I am indeed revelling in the fact that it's Day 1 of my Holibobs. When I read that I said 'Why, thank you Honey' 😍
Hope everyone has a good weekend. Safe travels. Relaxing times. Fun.
DS is on his stag do in Blackpool for the weekend. And breathe...
