I forgot to say, when we went into the pub there was a man at the bar who looked just one of the miltaria experts on Antiques Roadshow. I was tempted to speak to him but decided against it and was glad I hadn't as when I heard him speak it clearly wasn't the same person!

Never had a Henry or a Hetty so I can't help. Sorry.A lot of hotspots have been cleared, both litter trays have been scrubbed within an inch of their lives, everything I washed and dried over the weekend has been folded and put away, showered and washed hair, walked the dog, the wifi problem we had at the end of last week has been solved, rather miraculously by me, I've made a cheese and onion flan and a tomato thing for tonight's supper and that means over the weekend and including today I've cleared seven boxes out of the freezer. I'm very pleased about that. I've also done a bit of admin and am now stopping for the day.Better is good enough.7

Thank you for the lists, Natty and Valli. Sorry you’re still feeling so rough, Natty.
I’m signing up for the week ahead, but quite honestly, flying is likely to be minimal. Apart from washing - DD has just made it home after working a festival for a few day. Smelly - her and her washing! And she gets to do it all again in a couple of days.
Sorry, Round, I haven’t got a Henry or a Hetty. Like Pollybear, I have a Miele cylinder, but unfortunately it isn’t the bagless variety. And the cord wind up thingy broke ages ago! But it still seems to find a lot of dirt to fill up on, can’t think why😳.
Right - need to work out what I’m cooking for dinner. Because I forgot to do the meal plan yesterday.6 -
back from holibobs. .. we had a migraine, a touch of food poisoning, a visit to fracture clinic, a burned hand and the most horrendous UTI I've had in years.. It rained one day only.. the children had a wonderful time.. we have been through so many cocodamol and bottles of calpol and loperamide.
I've done 4 loads of laundry
Spent several hours trying to get a dr's appointment to no avail.. I am really not well if I am willing to see a quack.
I have a Hetty AND a Henry .. and a Shark... and an industrial vax thing.. I love the Henry and Hetty.. they vacuum everything from crumbs to rubble.. there is a reason builders use them!

Afternoon everyone xx
Where is everyone? Have you all caught my lurgy and taken to your beds? I do hope not. I decided to take another day off to rest and recuperate and plan to return to the pit face tomorrow.
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, fed the birds, filled the birdbath and the hedgehog's dish, watered the hanging basket, FUPA clean washing and FUPA the airer. Oh, and put out the recycling.

Managed all four lines of Connections today which is a rare event for me.I've spent most of the day so far clearing hotspots again and am chuffeed as nuts with the outcome. I also cleaned out the drawer at the bottom of the fridge and took another three boxes of food out of the freezer for tonight's supper and my lunches for the rest of the week. There is lovely s_p_a_c_e in there.Yesterday while clearing one of the hotspots I finally got around to cleaning/feeding/polishing a small old shoulder strap-type leather bag I hadn't used for over a decade with a view to donating it, and realised this morning that it can take: my mobile, a pair of secateurs (for docks and long-legged brambles on the paths), a bag of bird seed, tissues, debit card, keys and pooh bags. It looks rather smart now it's had a little TLC so it's replacing my now very shabby plastic shoulder strap-type dog-walking bag. The plastic one isn't good enough to donate which isn't a surprise. Now working my way slowly through some of the paperwork on my desk and deleting emails.Better is good enough.6

Sorry you had a such a nightmare holiday @pigpen and that you are unwell. Hope you're better soon - have you managed to get an appointment with a GP yet? This morning I took the car in for its MOT and an hour and a half later they rang to say it had passed, and no work needs doing. That was good news, although it had a major service at the end of Feb and we've only done about 1000 miles since then.At lunch I had some mixed bean salad and they were in a smoky sauce, which is tomato based and I managed to drop a small amount on my shirt. It wouldn't easily come off so I took it off and washed it in the basin in the bathroom to no avail so put it in the washing machine for 90 mins but it still didn't come out. I washed it again but it's still visible, albeit rather faintly now. It a good, and fairly new, shirt so I would like to get rid of the stain completely, especially as it is in a very obvious place on the shirt. Anyone have any suggestions?Anyone read any books by Angela Carter?6

Thomas is back from the vet. they've reduced his insulin to 1/2ml.. it is a miniscule amount. Hopefully we can get him stable so we can sort his teeth out.
I've done nothing!
