Aylesbury_Duck said:Just bundle that email correspondence into your complaint to the FOS and hope that they agree with you that the finance on the second-hand car was mis-sold. I still think the flaw in your argument is that you are no worse off than had you walked away and purchased an interim car elsewhere. What loss have you suffered, other than whatever the mistake on the servicing cost was (and I'm not going back over nine pages to recall it)?
Going forward with the FSO, I just attached a few and said I have tonnes of evidence waiting to be submitted
I said a friend suggested so, as I have been a laughing stock amongst my close friends. Saying they knew I was a novice and took me for a rideAyr_Rage said:@Ehi of course dealers make money on both new and second hand cars, why do you think differently?
They also make commission on the finance packages.

Any “close friends” that laugh at you for being in the situation you are in shouldn’t be your friends at all, let alone close ones. I know you’ve taken issue with a few of us on here, but none of us know you or each other, so there’s nothing personal in any questioning or argument. Friends, however, ought to be more supportive, even if that’s when telling you what you don’t want to hear.2

Yes a lot of people here have said things, positive and all, I take it as a lesson learnt. After all, if you study a course, you pay dearly for it.Grumpy_chap said:1 -
@Ehi
I made two comments earlier on this thread. The first because I wanted some clarity on the sequence of events. The second in which I said I thought you would have difficulty linking the pre-order issue with a claim that the finance agreement for the car you actually bought was missold.
Since then you have given a lot more information and received generally the same advice. I think, in particular, @grumpychap has shown tremendous insight and given you very sound advice. So, I didn't make further comments.
However, what you said about your friends laughing at you, has prompted me to think about why you are pursuing this complaint.
Is it because your friends are saying you are naive and have been taken for a ride and you want to show them you're not or do you really think the finance agreement was missold?
Please manage your expectations about the FOS response to your complaint, it may not be what you want.

When I say my friends have been laughing, its just a few close friends who I share banter with, most have brand new cars and we argue jokingly which is better. So its all harmless fun
ABOUT MY COMPLAINT
I just dont like being taken for a ride, and honestly I never ordered a small hatch. I have a daughter in another city, whom I visit regularly and in summer I take my bike amongst others, a small hatch is a joke. I never asked for or wanted it and in particular, dont really like it.
But with my old car, I had both power electric steering issues and DPF issues with my old car. Both cost £3,500 each, It was a honda accord 2.2D. The worst car, I have ever had and thats £7,000 wasted. Then the wheel bearing started humming and brakes and one of the shock absorbers started kicking off.
The car was off the road for 7 months as halfords put a fake chinese DPF, which failed. So during the offroad season, I resorted to both trains, taxis and car hire and I said never ever again, I would opt for a brand new car. But was misled0 -
I'm genuinely concerned that your so called friends are now egging you on and winding you up further. On that note I'm out.6

No ombudsman is going to take you seriously if you make statements like that.13 -

Come on, that's just silly. You're a grown adult, no one forced this car on you. While it's arguable that you may have been persuaded that buying it was a route to the car you really wanted, it's daft to suggest you were somehow compelled to order it. You could have walked away at any stage in the process, which would have been lengthy given the finance deal involved.
No ombudsman is going to take you seriously if you make statements like that.
I don't think that's difficult to understand
Even if my communication is poor. Both @Olinda99 and a few others have rightly Summarised my post
Lastly the reference I quoted on the FCA website. Clearly states the summary both the FCA and @Olinda99 rightly again, pointed out. That the T&C must be properly explained to the client. When finance is involved
A simple question the Ombudsman Would ask is. Where the T&C explained ? And the email exchanged would contradict this
As the dealership now claims they do not know anything about a promised future car (never did I talk about it or speak to the MD)
When I was speaking strictly with the MD and have 2 complimentary cards
Yes I could walk away, but they promised me multiple things. Cheaper finance from zuto at 19% to 6%. A new car and extended warranty. Which makes plenty of sense.
Think before u call something silly and kindly go read the links I sent on the FCA website0
