Missold car finance, lying and bullying by car dealership

That's the nature of the motor industry. Ensures vehicle sales when the new vehicle is ready to roll off the production line. Cars being highly customisable. The less sitting around on disused airfields, docksides and dealer compounds the better.Ehi said:Grumpy_chap said:
My take on that (as a whole) is that the Dealer sent the OP the details of the pre-order and required the fee to be paid but the fee was never paid so the pre-order was never processed.
It is actually quite an important piece in the whole scenario and might well change some of the comments and advice.
So I asked, why the mass advertizing, reviews and youtube channels, advertizing a car that is not on sale ??? It sounded strange to me.0 -
@Aylesbury_Duck
I'm not sure how you prove it was an always-intended scam. You clearly haven't pre-ordered or paid a deposit for the new car, all you have is a personalised illustration of what a particular specification of the new car would cost. I could get 10 of them tomorrow by visiting a few dealerships, it wouldn't signify any commitment on their part.Ayr_RageI cannot see any mis-selling of finance, you willingly entered into the agreement for the interim car.As for the the pre-order, interim car and servicing issues you have a valid complaint with the dealer.
How was the pre-order payment waived, where is that money?Again and again, we are going round and round in circles and I have to keep repeating myself over and over again.
Yes @Aylesbury_Duck you are 100% right, as I can get 10 or even 1 million such copies. But I did reiterate over and over again.
1. I have an email, which was sent to me, to say, I was approved for finance for the 2nd hand car, which I replied to saying, thats not what I wanted. And it was replied to saying, REMEMBER WHAT WE DISCUSSED. Its a short term solution and soon you will have your brand new car.
BOTTOM LINE: We discussed something, even if its denied now
One of the email correspondence, clearly says. I dont want that 2nd hand car, and opted for another car, which was to be released earlier and he replied saying, no that date has been cancelled
3. I also have numerous emails with both PCP and HP quotes, going back and forth. strictly for brand new cars
4. I also have numerous emails saying, dont fall victim of scammers, we dont play horse and carrot here, be patient and soon, you will be driving your brand new car.
MOVING FORWARD
Even if I am bunkers or halucinating, my emails are not

These discussions have been helpful, as Its helped me recollect and be more constructive, bearing in mind the adjudicator or investigator will not understand if I keep waffling on0 -
But you don’t have any receipt for a specific payment towards a pre-order of a new car ? Others with experience have paid sums to be on a pre-order list for a future vehicle - we have paperwork specific to that order giving us the T&C’s of the orderEhi said:@Aylesbury_Duck

Without that, as others have tried nicely to say, all you have is some quotes for what the car may cost and some correspondence that you’ve shown interest in one4 -
Yes you may be right. But whose fault is it ?Wonka_2 said:But you don’t have any receipt for a specific payment towards a pre-order of a new car ? I went into a dealership and made my desire known to them, we spent over 4 -6 weeks talking and then printed out 2 sheets for me and exchanged emails. Which are crystal clear on what I wanted.
One of my grieviences in my complaint is I am asking them to produce a record where I asked for a 2nd hand vehicle, as non exist. So if they guided me in the wrong path, its not my fault. Sounds silly, but thats what my cousin said and I should stick to the FCA guidelines, which clearly says, were the T&C properly explained to you ?

Lastly, after they admitted they made mistakes, they offered to take the 2nd hand car back, but at that point they did not have any brand new car, rather they insisted, I take another 2nd hand car, which I refused. Hence the genesis of my complaints
Then in their final response, they claim there is no evidence, I ever asked for a new car. So I also asked, produce the evidence, I inquired ever for a 2nd hand car, as I have plenty of formal evidence from you. Then they have refused to speak to me every since0 -
Just bundle that email correspondence into your complaint to the FOS and hope that they agree with you that the finance on the second-hand car was mis-sold. I still think the flaw in your argument is that you are no worse off than had you walked away and purchased an interim car elsewhere. What loss have you suffered, other than whatever the mistake on the servicing cost was (and I'm not going back over nine pages to recall it)?Ehi said:@Aylesbury_Duck

None of which you actually placed a signed order for. Is it possible that the dealership at a point stopped taking you seriously.2 -

A friend came visiting during the week and said to me, he thinks that they knew I was a novice, so played me along and then de-railed the process to sell me the 2nd hand car, as they dont make commissions on new cars, but can inflate the commission on a 2nd hand car, after all he felt. I was robbed paying £19,000 for a 6 year old small hatch back.
Again, the FCA guidelines were not properly followed and interest was put ahead of customer satisfaction0 -
I dont think so, as I did ask to place an order, but the test drive car was not free during the weekends, when it was convinient for me, so after I did. I asked to place an order. This can also be seen in the emails. I could easily and comfortably afford a brand new SUV or any luxury car without batting an eyelidHoenir said:3.
