Taking a step back from some of the rather excited posts.

This may not matter at all or it might invalidate your claim. It all depends what you answered when you took out the policy and what the policy says (if anything) about how long a car can be unattended.

First things first,  report the theft to the police if you haven't already.

Now speak to your insurance company and see what they say. After that if you need any more advice then tell us exactly what they say.

The first thing I done was reported it stolen to the police. Then informed the insurance company, they asked me where it was parked I said I'm pretty sure it was on the drive but honestly I can't remember if it was on the road next to the drive. With hindsight I just sort of Said it was on the drive, in a way that would have been dishonest I honestly cannot remember if I put it back on the drive or left it on the street beside the drive. It's a large Drive takes three large vehicles, I just wasn't looking for it when I was packing the other car I was just laser focused on getting the car packed  to go on an amazing holiday. I have forgot to put it on the drive in the past a couple of times, but the fact I was going on holiday I really cannot understand why it would not have been on a drive I just don't really remember was in the holiday spirit throwing stuff in car wasn't really concentrating on anything else. I've got an old Jaguar on the drive and if I park it on the road I park it so it's in front of this so I'm not blocking the drive for my partners car or mine . Some of the comments do seem to have a sinister undertone ! I must say this is rather up setting for me this is the last thing I need I'm just being honest. I cannot remember if I put the car on the drive or on the road beside the drive directly across my jaguar right outside my house. The difference to it being on my drive and on the street outside my drive is about the width of the curb. Must say some of the comments are insinuating I'm up to something and this has upset me a lot. My neighbour who put the bins in pretty sure it was on a drive but can't be a hundred percent because she wasn't really looking for it but she said I thinks  it was. My friend who posted my letter  posted it throug the letter box he said it was definitely on the drive. Obviously I will relay this information to the insurance company but they are considered non impartial surely. If only I could have concrete proof but I don't because I'm actually not sure if I did put it back on the drive or left it directly in front of my old jag. As above some of the sinister undertone messages have really upset me. Value of the claim is 12k and if I don't get a payout it would really mess me up. Because to buy another vehicle if I did not get paid out would basically have to be an old banger

She thinks it was on the drive. Again all of the people I have mentioned are not considered in partial. The vehicle was parked on the left the car we was filling was directly in front of the front door even she said she wasn't really looking but she sure it was because that's where I leave it and  she surely would have noticed because she had not had a couple of drinks

I was 100% honest with my insurance and told them I fought it was on my drive but possibly on the road
Don’t think it’s down to where it was parked - as @tacpot12 has said you need to be honest with insurance company about where it’s ‘usually parked’ which would have formed the basis of your cover. If you said it was usually on the drive, but it was in the street, not sure if that impacts upon any claim? Happy to be corrected on this. Out of interest, why wasn’t it on the drive when you left home?
Someone I know has an expensive Mercedes suv and told his insurance co it was always parked in the garage which is in fact way too small for the car. Not sure how he would stand if it’s stolen off the driveway overnight?
99% Of the time I park it on the drive I have forgotten now and again over the years not going to lie

It will simply raise questions as to why it wasnt parked on the driveway if thats where it is usually parked and maybe further Qs to try and establish if it really is "usually" parked there or not.

The fact the OP doesn't remember suggests it isn't something that is too uncommon otherwise it'd stick in the memory that, for example, you have a skip on the driveway and hence temporarily needing to park on the road.

A former client did some analysis on theft at home claims where it was declared the car was usually garaged... about 20% of the customers didnt even have a garage let alone all those that the garage is too full of junk to be used to store a car.
Indeed. Usually is the key to this, plus the value of the claim may influence how closely they look into it.

You must however see that it looks really odd if the car is "usually" kept in the driveway but was left on the road while you are away on holiday!
I'm not saying it was left on the road I'm saying I simply can't remember if I did pop it on the drive before we went just being the completely honest with the insurance company

What did you say to the police when you reported the theft?
Told them my vehicle has been stolen and gave them my name and address they sent me a crime reference number via text message and then a follow-up message something about victim support that's about it

To be frank, you should stop posting because you're just winding yourself up and there's nothing you can do but await the insurer's response.

There are things you cannot change:

    1. What you told the police when you reported the theft.
    2. What you told your insurer when you reported the theft.
    3. Where you actually parked the car.

The reality is that even if if it was stolen from the road, it's not going to invalidate the insurance unless they have evidence you've wilfully deceived them.

The only other comment I'd make is that if you start contacting the insurer with all these tales of neighbours, bins and post, it looks very much like you're trying to convince them you complied with the policy, which is precisely what a dishonest person would do.  That's partly why people on here are starting to doubt your story, you're protesting too much.  You've been honest with the insurer and told them you're not completely sure.  Leave it at that.
    Very good advice much appreciated

Given that you, your partner and even the neighbours can’t be sure where it was parked, are you sure it was indeed stolen, it’s not parked in the next street perhaps or at a relatives ‘for safekeeping’ 😂
    Sorry, I’ll get me coat
That got a LOL from me!
