Question is has anyone ever got multiple bonuses from TSB? Annoyed because I am doing the ongoing offer from the last one so could’ve got an extra fiver a month. Oh well!
    • If you’ve received an incentive or benefit for switching to TSB Bank plc using the Current Account Switch Service since 1 October 2022, you’re not eligible for these offers.

So in theory, next year you might be good for another

According to my own records (which may or may not be 100% correct), the last two switching incentives from TSB also had a cutoff date of October 2022 for having received previous bonuses.  I wonder if they'll keep this as a static cutoff date for all future offers, which seems to be the way many banks are going now, rather than having a rolling cutoff

I thought TSB were not strict on the dates and have paid out several people on here who had switch bonuses previously in November 22

Do TSB credit check you and would you likely to be declined for this reason?

Oct 2022 was the first TSB switching bonus in many years - there had been refer-a-friend offers but the last straightforward switching bonus before that was in the era before the botched migration from the LBG system to Sabadell's - 2017ish.

For now at least the expectation should be it's effectively an 'all time' block (with the caveat that anyone who had a bonus in the early days of TSB is still eligible if they haven't had one since 2022).

There are plenty who have received multiple bonuses, although last time I tried I was not lucky. Perhaps it's a manual process to check it and occasionally people slip through.
  • idea suggestions to minimally use the debit card to fulfil the monthly spent requirement ? We use Amex/Barclays for most and id be reluctant to change that.
Could otherwise just buy 20 single items or something else cheaply in a supermarkets self check out.

Is there a hard credit check undertaken?

    • debit card deposits to a savings account (e.g. NS&I)
    • one off payments to utility providers
20 items bought one by one in a supermarket probably isn't a terrible shout though, just make sure you visit at a quiet time.

Do you have to initiate the switch as part of the opening or do it after the account had been opened?

Unless something has changed there's no option to switch as part of the account application - you're only invited to do so after the account application is done and the account's opened.

It's a very disjointed process involving an Adobe Form.

can you switch to a currently existing TSB account rather than open a new one?
