UKPC parking PCN fine, driver did not realise that they had parked in a motorcycle bay 🙄 currently stands at £100
Keeper did not receive original letter where they had the opportunity to pay the discounted rate of £40, they received the second letter demanding £60 letter was opened late and now sits at £100

Keeper has received PCN, is it worth appealing?

Depends if appeal is still an option.
You won't actually ever pay UKPC anyway!
You've read the NEWBIES FAQS thread?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

To top it off, the keeper forgot to update their address on the log book hence why it arrived at their old address. They have now updated the log book to their current address
Parking charge date was 10/07
Should I still appeal? Or ignore it?0 -
UKPC have never sent a "fine" to anyone! If the driver didn't realise it was a moto cycle bay the signage must have been up to UKPC's scamming best then, just think about it, in conjunction with what you glean from the newbies thread !1

in addition there was a sign that clearly stated it was a motorcycle bayShow us that sign. Full t&cs visible? £100 risk "in big"? Or just a sign with no t&cs, no £100?
The keeper must contact UKPC to tell them to erase the old address. If appeal is still open then do the data rectification and appeal as one communication.
Obviously you don't PAY private PCNs all the time the industry remains unregulated (this will change in 2025 with a proper appeals service and independent scrutiny but still won't ever mean you knee-jerk pay any private PCNs).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

£100 buried in small print.
The appeal template is in the NEWBIES thread which no link is needed for. You can add your own words confirming which address must be erased. No template needed for such a simple added sentence - and don't use Chat GPT (we detest it - laughable AI English!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Re PCN number:I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner. There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation and your evidence. You must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date as well as your images of the vehicle. If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it.If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner.
Please also erase address xxx from your records, the correct address is xxx
