Hi, looking for some assistance in relation to airpods I have with a Sky credit account.

I have been to Apple with these as they have developed a fault shortly after I had to buy a replacement airpod (my fault). Apple state that the fault is partially because of the new airpod. I obviously stated I wasn't paying more than the cost of the replacement airpod.

Since that they have stated that I should go back to Sky and request a repair/replacement under Consumer Law as the contract was taken out less than 2 years ago and the new fault is no fault of my own.

I have been onto Sky and they state they no longer stock the product and because of this they will only offer to cancel the contract once I send the airpods back to them. I don't want to send these back as I have already paid £80 on the replacement pod.

Can anyone help me with this? Is there anything more Sky should be doing to assist? I feel like I'm in a game of tennis between Sky and Apple for a bloody set of headphones.

Hi, looking for some assistance with a pair of the above please.

I took these out on credit, I know, alongside many other appliances a couple of years ago with Sky.

These have developed a fault after I bought a new airpod as I dropped it. Since the replacement they no longer work.

I have been to Apple and they said that I should go to Sky and ask for the replacement to be sorted under Consumer Law which I did as I certainly wasn't paying anything more as the replacement pod was £80.

Sky are now saying that as they don't stock the airpods anymore then the only option i have is to return the item where they will then cancel the contract.

Having paid the £80 for the replacement before the fault, all I want is working airpods. I don't want to send them back when I have one pod which is brand new.

Does anyone know where I stand with this? Sky are saying that's all they can do. I asked for them to credit me for the replacement pod. TIA.

To clarify as your post is very confusing. It stopped working because you dropped it?

It is still not clear, you seem to be saying they became faulty after you broke one?

So you had some ipods, broke them,  bought new ones and the new ones are faulty??

Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

    Right let’s get this straight.

You bought AirPods from Sky on a contract.

You broke one of the AirPods and bought another single AirPod.

The AirPods as a whole are now faulty (in what way?)

You took them to Apple (Why if you bought them from Sky)

Apple said that the new single AirPod is part of the reason why the whole AirPods are faulty (Why is that and what is the rest of the reason)

You approached Sky and they have offered to cancel the contract if you return the AirPods.

is that right? If so, can you fill in the missing bits

Have you paired the new airpod with the old one?

    Things wrong with airpods:

HDI failed for power on left AirPod.
    Also AirPods firmware is mismatched.

    They sorted the firmware issue.

Apple is close to me and it is there product so I went there first hoping they'd fix it.

Correct about cancelling if I return. As I've bought a new airpod through my own fault then I'd rather they are fixed as oppose to sending a brand new airpod back to essentially get binned.

    Hope this makes sense.
