Hi
I've recieved a "Notice to Keeper" from "Have a nice car park". I did overstay buy 20 minutes in a car park in Wolverhampton and have been charged a whopping £100 or £60 if i pa within 14 days. Can I fight this as the only option given is to 1) Pay the fine, and; 2) "If yyou were not the driver of the vehicle, to notify us (in writing using the form attachced) of the name of the driver and their current address".
There is no option to challenge this, is this because this is no longer an a route to go down. Has anyone been abble to do so successfully? And if so how can I do so as £100 for a 20 minute overstay is extortionate.
Thank you for your help

The first thing you must do is read the Newbies/FAQ thread. Once you've done that and still have any questions that are not covered there, let us know.
Please show us the NtK that does not give any advice on how it can be appealed or says that only the driver can appeal.

Yes, show us pics of both sides of the NTK.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi Coupon-mad
I wasn't able to add the NTK to my orginal post so I ha

Thank you0 -
I have reported your post above because the PCN number is showing. An unscrupulous person could use this to appeal on your behalf, admitting liability, and making abusive and libellous language in the process. You should redact an or report the post yourself.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks3

In your opening post you say "there is no option to challenge this".
On the the second page of that Notice To Keeper it says...2 -
Here's the NTK suitably redacted, and yes it has the usual appeal option:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Good morning and thank you Keith P and Fruitcake.
I've read the FAQs which tell you how to post and conduct yourself on the platform. Are these the same as the Newbie FAQs , if so could someone could point me in the direction on how to appeal this?
Thanks in advance0 -
No they are not the same.

Hi Coupon-mad
Thank you so much for you help.
This is what I have used in my letter to this firm. Do I need to add anything else? You issued me with a parking ticket on 16 July 2024 but I believe it was unfairly issued. I decline your invitation to name the driver, which is not required of me as the keeper of the vehicle. I will not be paying your demand for payment for the following reasons:
· The charge is disproportionate and not commercially justifiable
The amount you have charged is not based upon any commercially justifiable loss to your company or the landowner.
In my case, the £100 charge you are asking for far exceeds the cost to the landowner of £1. The fee is £100 but I only overstayed by 25 minutes. I therefore feel the charge you have asked for is excessive. If you choose to pursue me please be aware that I will not enter into any correspondence and this will be the only letter you will receive from me until you answer the specific points raised in my letter.

No. That is not from the NEWBIES thread and argues stuff that has no legs. Not only that, this draft ADMITS overstaying! Eek!
NO. It's actually terrible. Looks like you came off the forum and read some outdated bad advice from MSE Towers on the website (not this forum). Don't read the MSE Guide which is sadly bad advice, and isn't where we signposted you to.
