Morning all xx
I wish I'd followed up on the flylady bus trip idea. I could have avoided the tension in the office then. Nuff said. I do so wish they'd let me work from home.
Anyhoo. I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast, completed Wordle and Connections, and I'm supping a brew.
Delivery received yesterday means that I have now officially started my Christmas shopping. 🎄
DS has messaged me to see if I'm free to meet the outlaws on 3rd August. DS and DF have been together six years and never the twain have met. We've exchanged Christmas cards and presents for years. But never met. Is it just me that thinks that's weird? 🤔
What am I asking? People are weird. Full stop. I'm not people by the way. I'm alien 👽. So I'm allowed to be weird 😉
Love to you all. My world is better because you're in it ❤

Morning all. On Monday and yesterday we enjoyed lunches out with two groups of friends: both involved long drives, but were very much worth it. Now all is back to 'normal' - whatever that is!
Today I have to declutter several loads of washing to do (including 2 or 3 pairs of DH's jeans while it's good drying weather), a physio appointment (but of course with the warm weather my shoulder is much better, and my knee is almost better) and Rosie's walk; tomorrow I only have to walk Rosie near DS's house so that I can water the pots by their front door and put their bin away (they went over to France yesterday evening); and on both Friday and Saturday I have a clear diary.
As well as keeping up with the dailies, I am hoping to make big inroads into the photo sorting. I cleared another under-the-bed storage box yesterday evening and found a few pre-1960 b/w negatives, but I appear to have reached the stage of having garnered all the loose prints, so the sorting should be reasonably straightforward now.
Narc0, if I could edit your last post, I would immediately remove the word 'only'. Both things you achieved yesterday are big frogs - very tiring for the brain and extremely time consuming, definitely not to be regarded in the same way as little errands. Please be kind to yourself xx
Glad the funeral went well, Valli x
Round, please be sure to add me to your itinerary. We are more-or-less straight down the M6/M5 from near asb, but you might want to do a slight detour en route to pick up Valli. If short_bird is fully recovered now and free to join us, she's only a few miles from me. Then we can go west to pick up Natty before we do the run down to Fayolle xxx

Thanks for the JBs, pigpen x Switch your upstairs lights off again quick, before you see all the gibble
I have been prodded and poked by the physio assessor. Basically they can't do anything to help my shoulder, I have more OA behind my right kneecap and in my left knee, and all the other joints already affected - that is pretty much everything except (so far) for my hips - are just going to keep flaring up every so oftenSo frustrating. Getting old is not fun.
Now I'm worn out, so flying has been shelved for the day. I called on MrAl on the way home for bread and milk, so lunch will be coffee and sandwiches.6 -

Not much flying time for me this week due to working 8 days straight. Keeping up with the laundry and that's about it.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Well said Ionafan - that's two very bug and important jobs done Narco.Valli, hopefully your mother's anxiety will subside now the funeral is over.Piggers!!!!! *waves frantically*This morning I popped out to get the paper and came back and cleaned the basin, lav and mirrors in the bathroom. I then made lunch and washed up. W rang and he is not coming for lunch on Friday but for a meal on Thursday evening. He's not drinking alcohol at the moment so water only. That's good for me as I want to have a few alcohol-free days too. It's too hot to do much else now so am going to watch The Repair Shop on catch-up.6

The ironing still isn't done, I've simmered and baked a ham which is now cooling off. I'll slice it tomorrow. I've also cleaned another section of the kitchen which I wasn't looking forward to and am chasing up on three things I've queried one way or another and found frustrating. In other words, busy but achieving very little today.
Better is good enough.5 -
- pulled myself together and actually went for a run this morning, felt better for it as I hadn't been for ages. Hoped it would stop all the thoughts going round my head, but they are still churning.
- tax return finished and submitted
- DW emptied and put away
- one load through WM, hung out and brought in
- email sent off to postpone Mum's anxiety support as the initial assessment is 1 1/2 hrs and currently she can't stay focused /awake for more than about 10mins
- various things done in the garden. Had our first runner beans for dinner this evening.
Iona sorry to hear about your OA and you're right; getting old isn't much fun.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -
Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, showered, dressed, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast, completed Wordle and Connections (with one life to spare), and I'm supping my brew.
I put out the general waste bin and a recycling box last night ready to be emptied. I'll feed the birds, put out the recycling, and drop off the window cleaner's money on my way to work. (I had it ready yesterday but only remembered when I was three quarters of the way to work dangit)
I was up waaay twirly this morning. Anxiety not helping. That flylady bus trip would be just the ticket right now. I'll pick you all up - a Round trip of England with a foray into Wales when appropriate and then we're going somewhere exclusive and quiet on the West Coast of Scotland with access to beach, sea, mountains, and lakes. Day trips to shopping outlets available for those who need retail therapy. Not for me. I'll be the one sat on a groyne (is that the right word?) watching the waves and breathing, slow and deep. In and out. Just being. Ahhhhhhh.
I hope you all have a lovely day.
