Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast, completed Wordle and Connections (used 2 lives), and I'm supping my brew.
It does look like it's going to be another lovely day so, instead of going to work, I'm tempted to pull the Flylady bus out of storage, pick you all up, and enjoy a day trip, or two days, make it four....I'm happy to give work a miss this week 😉. Oh I do love a distraction...my brain is already thinking up an itinerary. Who's coming with me?
Back in the real world (sigh): I'll feed the birds, fill the birdbath, water the hanging basket, put out the recycling before I trundle / trudge/ traipse/ my way to TT. Must remember to call at Mr C00p for bananas on my way past.
And breathe. Have a good day. Especially if you don't work on a Tuesday 😊

Round, think you should pick up Piggers, come across to me and then work our way across to ASB and take it from there. But I fancy three or four weeks away from the real world instead of three or four days.
First wash load in machine. Just having breakfast.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all
Just having my vertical half hour so have used the time to make a donation to my mum’s friend (not my real Auntie) and add gift aid to it, rather than rooting for cash at the crem. I’m taking the aged Ps, we’ll meet my sister there as she will drive a different route, as the funeral is in Lancashire. Filled the jalopy up last night. RIP Auntie Mary, a lovely lady. Mum’s anxiety is through the roof.
2 x WM so shall leave that pegged out and DW needs emptying.
Don’t think I’ll be passing any Flypeeps or i would wave. Though I will be near the town of Pigpen’s in laws.
Hope you all have good days x.

Morning all,
Round, dust that bus off and put your foot down - it’ll take a while to get to me, but I’ll wait on the doorstep. I’m with Jazee - 3 or 4 weeks out of RL might do it, and if it works out well (which of course it will) we can just keep going. Save me a seat and I’ll sqidge in up front.
Dull here yet again. Blue skies before the late afternoon might be rather nice. At least we don't have yesterday’s drizzle yet.Bedding changed and in the wm. I’m still on the first cuppa after a restless night. I have the dentist later this morning for root canal part 2. My dentist is on her hols, so I have a locum which is unsettling. I only agreed as I’m not sure how much longer the temporary filling will last after all the cancellations that I had to do to be at hospital with DD. It’ll be fine…
CoG, I meant to say last week - another big fan here of old movies. And DD caught the bug at an early age, so favourites here are Audrey Hepburn films (DD), anything with Doris Day and / or Cary Grant (me) and a good Hitchcock - Rear Window is the best for us and often on iPlayer or the such like.
Ok, kettle on, cuppa 2 if anyone cares to join me?8 -
Phew, just back from an almost two hour walk with Poppet through the countryside around the village. We actually made it to the next village. Just having a cuppa. Dailies are done. About to put last wash in machine and I've watered the pots in the back garden.Spend less now, work less later.6

Today is supposed to be the hottest day of the week here, but it's dull and overcast with no wind. Still hoping the load of washing I pegged out will dry but it's not good weather for it.Valli, Great TV, Channel 50 here, has been running four episodes of Mash every evening for weeks. They aren't necessarily in the right order but sometimes are. Either way, four episodes of Alan Alda are making us laugh out load every evening.I bought strawberries in Morribunds yesterday, and as always chose their Savers ones because they're the smaller ones and taste much better as a result - big ones are big because their water content is higher. Checking the price I noticed the Savers ones are more expensive!Still haven't settled down to the ironing. Have walked the dog, polished the tops of a couple of bits of furniture which desperately need it, and hacked at a few clumps of ox-eye daisies to spread the seeds to liven various bits of the garden and a neighbouring car park. Now at my desk and about to deal with about a week's incoming paperwork before I crank the ironing board out.Better is good enough.5

@Jazee I agree 3 or 4 weeks away from the real world is the minimum. I sometimes wish I could put the whole world (or at least the people in it that I interact with) into suspended animation for a few weeks, just bringing individuals out for short periods if I needed to. That way I could have a complete break from everyone and everything.@Valli I hope that the funeral went as well as these things can and it wasn't too sad an occasion. Is this is what is causing your mum's anxiety to spike?@Fayolle we both love Hitchcock films. A's favourite is Rope, which I like but isn't my favourite. I love the fashions from the 40s and 50s too; people were so much better dressed then, both the men and the women.@Honey_Bear I agree about the large strawberries and much prefer the smaller ones. I find they are pretty hit and miss as regards to flavour though, whichever type you buy.Not much by way of flying today. This morning I took a bag of rubbish and one of recycling down and bought the paper. I took A to the hospital to collect some medication and to make an appointment. On the way back we stopped off at a local pub we like and had a drink. After lunch a Waitrose order arrived and later a small Ocado one and I put those away. I made tea and supper and am about to wash up. I just had a Bounty ice cream - a bit too sweet really but I have to admit it was yum!On Friday A's friend from his school days might be coming for lunch and and Sunday A's cousin and her husband are coming from Welwyn for lunch so I've got to think about what I might do. I'm wondering whether I can get any guinea fowl breasts to have for one meal - probably the Sunday lunch. We could with have them cold with salad or warm with something such as leeks in a white sauce, jersey royals and broad beans.5

Oh my, a trip on the Flylady bus, what a wonderful idea.
Work hasn't been too bad, didn't sleep very well last night but otherwise things are OK.
I changed our sheets and put a wash on while DH hoovered. I also flicked the duster around the bedroom and tidied some clothes.
I am now waiting for a face to face appointment to talk about this anxiety but I also have an appointment to see the specialist menopause nurse on Thursday. Things will get better.

CoG…yes. The journey there was much harder than the one home, despite the fact i went wrong, twice. The funeral went well and i think her son was pleased we’d all gone…but we did love her.
Im stuffed full of loperamide as a preventive measure which is probably why i have mild tummy acheDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Only 2 things done from my list today:
- had visit from financial advisor who dealt with my pension 'pot'.
- picked up where I left off a couple of months ago with tax return. Should finish it tomorrow.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7
