Letter received from Klarna Final Notice - I've never even used Klarna!
Received a letter stating theyve unsuccessfully tried to contact me regards to an unpaid purchase made in March this year for £124 on pay later credit agreement. Ive made no such purchase and never ever dealt with Klarna, or the merchant (DHGate) before.
Just called klarna's website-listed number (actually same as the one on the letter but wanted to be sure) and they've confirmed someone has used my name and address to make a purchase but apparently used a different email address, so are now forwarding it to their "security" department.
I've googled and can see only one reference to this happening to someone, so just curious if it's more widespread. Surely you cant create a Klarna account and make a purchase just by using a name and address? Clearly you can. Besiides where does the purchase they made get delivered (unless it's electronic I suppose, like software download via email? DHGate is the company bought from according to the letter.
Do I also now need to report this to actionfraud?

Check all your credit reports (Equifax on ClearScore, TransUnion on Credit Karma, Experian via their free statutory report) as it's possible there is a fraud on there and a default on your record which you will need to fight.
Do you live in a shared house or somewhere where someone could intercept your post or have a family member who might do this? DHGate are an odd one to use, they're primarily known (at least in the bike world) for selling counterfeit goods, knock-off stuff etc, not sure I'd use them if I wanted to commit fraud!Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I’ve received a letter today from Klarna saying the same as you except I owe £258. It’s also for a purchase with DHgate. It’s all a bit worrying when it states it will be passed on to a debt collection agency. I checked Experian for my credit score and it states I have an amount outstanding with Klarna for ten pounds less, so £248. I hate this sort of thing, it’s so time consuming (I was number 22 in the queue for Klarna customer services)!1

I have also received a letter from Klarna , a final demand for £295 . As with yours , a purchase made from DHgate . I contacted Klarna , the lady said it will be referred for investigation ( the last 4 digits of the phone number used was 7410 ) . I referred it to action fraud, my credit score seems fine . Hopefully this will be resolved , just spent last couple of hours dealing with this .0

I have received a letter today from Klarna which is a Final Notice for a pay later credit agreement that I had not entered into. I have phoned them and they are raising a ticket so someone from their security team will ring me next week (!!).
I have checked my Experian Credit report and can see the credit agreement on there though the value is £124 rather than the £134 in the Klarna letter.
I have also reported to Action Fraud.
Is there anything else i should be doing and has anyone else in the same situation made any progress in resolving ?
Thanks
