As per title really, I don't mind buying an older version of a decent spec - all I really care about is battery life and having a good camera. Looking to spend no more than £250. I've currently got a Poco M3 Pro 5G which is nearly 3 years old now - battery life is good but camera is a bit rubbish.
Any advice appreciated - thank you!

I've got an ancient Samsung and that takes good photos but because of the age it doesn't have all the settings some of the new ones do.You may want to think what sort of options you want like a Polaroid filter and such. That may help to narrow it down.As for battery life, it depends on what you use it for and how often. How many apps you have running and such.I got rid of as many as I could and don't use it for long calls, switch the net off when I don't need it, so although it's 14yrs old probably the battery is pretty good.

The newer A25 5G would be a better buy.... Samsung Galaxy A25 Smartphone | View Specs | Samsung UK Or buy from Argos at the same price...Buy SIM Free Samsung A25 5G 128GB Mobile Phone - Blue | SIM free phones | Argos
This has 4 OS upgrades and 5 years Security updates, so you wouldn't need a new one for at least 6 years....Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

I have a Nokia with Zeiss lenses, which takes great photos. Far better than my husband's new Samsung and any of my Kindles. My N10 is currently £245 on Amazon.1

How about a Pixel? I've got a 6a a few years old, but I am very pleased with it and the camera is particularly good. A 7a is in your price range.

When I bought my phone in April 2020 I looked at the best cheap Android phones list on Android Authority and typed each one into the Argos website to see the price and whether it was in stock which I found a useful way of deciding which one to buy.
If you click on the best button at the top of the AA page then you get options for best camera phone, best budget phone and so on.2 -
