savagelyric said:As per title really, I don't mind buying an older version of a decent spec - all I really care about is battery life and having a good camera. Looking to spend no more than £250. I've currently got a Poco M3 Pro 5G which is nearly 3 years old now - battery life is good but camera is a bit rubbish.
Any advice appreciated - thank you!
Only the main camera is good. The other cameras are bulk standard.

For good all round camera performance, there is the Samsung S22 5G SM-S901B/DS : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/296465681165 A bit over budget. Even has a telephoto lens.

I have a pixel 7. Within your budget but you may have to buy used. I've previously had a Motorola Moto 5G, a samsung galaxy S7, and a samsung Galaxy S10. The Pixel camera blows them all out of the water, and works as well at everything else.

I got a Google pixel 5s phone off eBay a month ago. Great camera. £145.. I have previously have had the pixel 4a and 3a. Phones. All take great pictures as well as being good phones.0

You can try Nothing 2a pretty good .. camera is not at it's best but performance is better at reasonable cost.0

There are quite a lot of phones available now with the 5,000 mAh battery, and that is sufficient to ensure good gaps between charges. I quite like the Motorola options but there are equivalents from Nokia, Pixel and Samsung budget models.
I am not particularly fussed about the camera so can't really comment other than to say all the budget phones I've had (Moto) have camera perfectly good enough for everyday use.
Prices can be well below the OP's budget, so with the higher budget the OP should be spoilt for choice.0
