MarchDoesnt the Tina and Danny wedding show thing at the Rio include a meal? Kills about 5 birds with the one stone........
Tony and Tina's Wedding does include dinner...and Italian buffet if I remember correctly.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Mayalso, it appears that TI is to be sold to the former owner of 'New Frontier' - that will prove to be interesting I think, one reason being it has a monorail connecting it to an MGM property (making it easier to 'leave' the property, may mean better offers to stay @ the property?) - fingers crossed!

Buying TI is quite a smart move with Encore opening ion the 22nd and then at some point Enchlon (SP) opening the centre of the Strip appears to be moving North with the premier properties this way which will probably make TI an alternative to the folks not wishing to spend $200+ per night. I dont think tha TI will have to drop its prices.
I am wodering if MGM Mirage may think about selling Mirage then with eth exception of Bellagio all of their casinos will be South Strip and they may concertrate on trying to get their middle of the road customers to stay up there. Its Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -
Couple of questions for those in the know :-
1) Where is considered the best place to get a few hundred £'s --> $'s changed ?
2) How common are flight upgrades these days, I'm flying out to LV on Jan 02 (2 days after my 40th birthday). Do you think its worth asking for an upgrade ? I should imagine Jan 02 is probably not going to be a busy day flights wise, should I play the 40th birthday angle ?0 -
Mayfor leaving that soon, you're going to end up paying 'current' exchange rates (otherwise i'd recommend these: https://www.crowncurrencyexchange.com/content/us-dollars.asp ), we normally just change a few hundred @ travelex (for collection @ the airport) but I believe the best option is detailed here: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-travel-money
and this tool is available:

re: number 2 - I think you're going to be goosed - free upgrades don't seem to exist...
is it Virgin? your best bet (as recomended by Stoneman) is to do twilight check-in and pay for an exit-row seat (£75 for the group), or check out availability of premium seats and if there are some, set your alarm for early the next morning and get down there early to pay for the upgrade (£150??'ish)0 -

I cant help you with 1 I am afraid as i get bank rates through work.
If you have bought a full price economy ticket and have a load of miles ask, if you have bought a cheap non refundable ticket and/or do not have a load of frequent flyer miles save yourself the embrassment.
I have not been upgraded free of charge in the last 5 years on a cheapo ticket before that probably 1 in 5 but I did have some miles. The 40th Borthday angle will not give you any advantage, if I were to ask for an upgrade I would not even mention that. Its Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -

travelex with a price match is also a good option. see main site on travel money .
Volcano link now up on the guide , cheers NVH:T
by the way anyone who thinks it is not worth signing up for the players club, think again. today i received a named offer for the Wynn of $129 a night . i think i have gambled about $20 in there.
i would of course post it , but it is a name offer, meaning only available to the specfic member. shame .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0
