It's going to be pretty cold for a convertible, me thinks! :)

If you have a chance, either on your way to or from the GC stop in Seligman at the Snow Cap Drive In for a one-of-a-kind experience...no, the food itself isn't worth a trip but the place, people and atmosphere is...it was one of our favorite things about our trip to the GC.

    301 E Chino Avenue, Seligman, AZ 86337

It's only about 2 miles off of I-40 if I remember correctly.

Don't read too much about it though - I knew a lot of what was likely to take place but kept it quiet from my husband and in-laws and it was worth it for them to be surprised. :)

It's also located on Route 66...so another reason to make a quick detour.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

We had a Sebring convertible what a smashing car but we have hired a Sebring normal for this trip as it is way too cold to have the roof down and particually on that trip way way too windy I have made that mistake before
Its Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time

Just like you can't really compare an economy car to a full size car in terms of luxuries ..there are convertibles and then there are convertibles. Heated seats,a decent heat system, wind deflectors ......low temps and/or wind are not problems in a decent convertible.

I'd have my fingers crossed the one you get has the above features!

not wanting to rain (snow? :D) on your parade, but it is likely to be snowing when you go the GC over the winter months - you sure you dont want a big beefy 4x4?? :) we were fine getting into the park when we went mid-december but think we would've struggled getting out without it as the weather turned quite quickly (ie. it went from being bliddy cold, to bliddy cold and snowing haha)

We had the same car !! It was the wind once out of Vegas that made it worse

  • Nah..We're made of stern stuff! ....just turn up the heat a notch..... lol
I like the feel of wind blowing across my bald bonce.... Me an my Z4..living the dream

The cars for the whole week....not just the trip up't mountains. So as long as I get a coupla sunny days in vegas (with the heater blasting) then I'll be happy.

Thanks for the weather headsup, and at least trying to get me to be sensible......but I doubt I ever will be :T

    Mike

Ps....if you pass a Sebring skiing down the snowy slopes......give me wave.....:rotfl:

PPs...Anyone else noticed the Cirque du Soleil takeover in Vegas, theyre involved in SIX different shows!?.... Are people that fascinated with people in rainbow tights swinging on curtains....

There is no need to "cash" travellers cheques as such. You can use them just like cash so long as you have ID with you. Most places take them.
