We're thinking about going to the UNLV Rebels college football game on Thursday 13th, picking up tickets once we're in Vegas. Couldn't find many sport events around our dates.
    Here's a link if it helps;
    http://unlvrebels.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/sched/unlv-m-footbl-sched.html

EDIT - We've just bought our tickets. $73.25 for the 2 of us :)

Thanks, that would have ben spot on.

However already booked tickets for "Love" on that night!

    Shame.

Miss the other games as well, anyone aware of anything else on? - Or i'll just have to ask about when we get there!

Couple more questions I've just thought of.

Sure they have been mentioned in this thread but cannot seem to find the exact info!

ATM's - I know the ones in the casinos charge a bit (i correct) so where can you withdraw for free? If not for free where is best?

WIFI - going to take the laptop to keep on top of emails etc, look up information. - Is there a list of free WiFi locations?

Also can I just charge my laptop / phone with a simple adaptor plug, I know they have a voltage(or whatever its called) difference, or is this ok?
Suppose I should include things like straghteners / hairdryer for the GF in the above!

    Thanks

My friend owns https://www.nitetours.com he tells me that these passes that you cn buy just get you in a another line but then I guess he would ;-) Friend or not I think that Nitetours is the best way to go clubbing in Vegas you go to three clubs for about $60 and this includes admission, transportation with free drink between clubs and no queuing and no worrying about getting in.

I dont use ATM becuause of the charges i take cash, if you dont like cash youc an change Travllers cheques for no charage at the casino cages.

You only need an adapter can be bought at the airport (UK side) for about a fiver

free wifi here - yes I am cheap and will not pay the hotel for it, anyway I think that the my paypal got hacked by some people sniffing the network at one hotel. http://vegasuncovered.wordpress.com/2008/10/07/las-vegas-money-saving-tips-free-wifi-access-on-the-strip/

    Thanks.

I've got a nationwide debit card so hopefully it would only be the ATM charge itself I;d have to incur and I was hoping this would be less that what it would cost me to change money.

Steered clear of Travellers cheques for many years due to lack of places wanting to change them for free, so my assumptions of what you've said above is that I could take (dollers) travellers cheques with me and I wouldn't get charged for changing them at the casino?

Info correct in June this year.

On the strip Walgreen's only charge $2 per transaction. There is a credit union behind PH that is fee free. It is a drive through ATM so be careful if you walk to it because you might get in the way. Target and Walmart (various locations) used to be fee free, not sure if they still are.

You can pay for stuff virtually anywhere (eg MacD) in Travellers Cheques, and get change in dollars, with no charge.

This link is a good site for free WiFi. Seems to be kept up to date too.

Full of questions today, must be the 1 week to go excitment!

    Has anyone used www.iceplc.com/

    for exchanging money?

Their rates seem good, they do free deliver over £300, i'd rather collect at the airport though.

Are these like travelex where you get their "good on-line rate" when you pre-order online, or becasue it says

"IMPORTANT Please note that the exchange rate is applied on collection at 0% commission with preferred exchange rates. These rates may vary from branch to branch. A form of ID will be required."

Does that mean I'll get royally stung by trying to collect.
