MarchThats soooooooooo cheap!!! Was expecting mortgage payment sized bills for food there. Will struggle to spend $50 for two for brunch!!!
Tasty too. They have other food offerings, but we love Grand Lux...though to be fair it's the only place we've ever eaten there.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
MarchDid someone say it's okay to phone the hotel if I find the price of some of the nights goes down? I have booked direct with Bally's so have paid a CC deposit. Does that come under best rate guarantee? (Yes, I could spend the whole $20 in the casino, yes I am tight)
Yes, you can call the hotel (this site gives lots of ideas for cheap international calls if you need them) to have them adjust the rates for you. I can't remember if they will immediately refund the difference for the deposit night or keep the deposit in full and offset any extra against another night but one way or the other you would get it back.
Actually, rereading - the Best Rate Guarantee refers to rates found at other sites (so they will ensure that they are not beaten by a competitor). Not sure if you are asking about that, or about where the price has come down directly with Ballys...if it's come down directly with Bally's, you can call.
If you've found a cheaper price somewhere else, the procedure is here:
http://www.harrahs.com/best-rate-guarantee.html
But that only relates to a short window after you booked with Bally's...it's not an indefinate thing.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Hi, thanks ferf1223 I booked the room through the hotdeal rate, and being me, just had a look to see if the rates had changed, down $10 on two nights and up $10 on another (not a hotdeal night) so of course wouldn't mention that!!! I use 18185 so might give them a call this afternoon to see. I booked directly as it was cheaper than other sites! (or maybe just get a life:rotfl: )0

OctoberCan someone answer me a question about Virgin Miles+Money please
Earlier on in the year I did a flight search using my miles and the price quoted was £70 cheaper than if I'd not had any miles ......did the same search today and asked for a quote with my miles which are the same amount as before and the quote is just £30 cheaper than without the miles......does the value of your miles differ??? seems the value has dropped considerably.....or am I doing something wrong:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -

For any miles and money questions you are better off heading over to a virgin forum- the one below is comprehensive and they are all virgin enthusiasts- there is also a thread linked discussing how miles and money are actually not that good of a deal at the moment- take a look

People have seen recently that M+M fares aren't always as good value as they have been in the past...I've seen them knock £100 off a fare in years gone by and seen them knock far less off a fare. I think it probably depends on a number of factors possibly including demand for the flights, whether there's a sale one, increasing costs to the airline, etc.... I doubt you are doing anything wrong but like the fares themselves, the M+M options can change.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
OctoberOK I'm holding on anyway as the month I want to fly isn't out yet....I'll be keeping an eye out I'm still hoping to get a flight for under £500:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0

Sorry, I thought you meant that you had checked the same dates and there was a difference in the value of the M+M fare from when you previously checked. The M+M fares can differ dramatically from date to date.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Does anybody know if you can use SKYPE in your hotel room (through the internet obviously) as Ive read that some hotels will block this to focre you to use their phone services? Need to know as im taking my USB SKYPE PHONE and my laptop with me when I fly out Saturday! Am i wasting my time?0

Thanks for The Venetian code. We love having breakfast at the Grand Lux, So that $50 will pay for it. Im going to book that and cancel the Palazzo offer I had booked. Is there a current Palazzo promotion with a dining credit?
Also do note that this promotion is non cancellable, so make sure its your final choice.
On a side note, does anyone know what type of 747 planes BA uses out of Heathrow? Im wanting to have a look at seatguru before booking our seats but they list three types of 747 on there?0
