November/December
Tony at the Grand canyon last November.
And again.
An interesting rock. (It has a name, I can't remember it.) Taken at sunrise by Tony. I think he was trying to get the nipple rock in the background but he claims he wasn't.
Another sunrise photo.0 -
Marchjust a quick one about the restaurant.com vouchers for the envy can you use them towards wine aswell as food eg a bottle of wine with the meal
The voucher says that use of the certificate for alcoholic beverages is at the sole discretion of the merchant. Some do specifically state that alcohol is not included - this one doesn't, but with the general 'sole discretion' clause it's a bit of an unknown.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Looking up the strip from MGM. The coke bottle and La Salsa Cantina in the picture. Incidentally, the food court with WESTGATE above it is where I saw the new incarnation of tix2nite.
This is how said I am...I looked at that photo and my first thought was 'Starbucks! I never knew there was a Starbucks there! Awesome.
I also love the Aladdin vs. PH comparison photos - you don't realise how much has changed until you see them one above the other like that...Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
November/DecemberI didn't even notice the Starbucks. had to go back and have another look.0

Can anyone recommend a good DVD. We are about to book our trip and we want to have a "Las Vegas" night, so we can pour over the places to se & visit. Dont want one of the 5 second You Tube jibbies. Want the full all singing, all dancing, Get us in the mood films. any suggestions.
Bt the way, has anyone seen the google street view of the strip? Bit dissaponting. I'm sure they wanted to show all the glittering lights, but its all turned out quite dark. You cant make much out. it seems part of the strip was filmed in daylight, then when it gets to MGM, it switches to night view. It would have been better to film it all in daylight.:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0 -

Hi everyone, after reading this thread 6 months ago i decided i was going to book up a trip to vegas, unfortunatly now i can't afford to go. whilst looking at this thread i read about the virgin flying miles you can purchase to use to get a discount on the virgin flights (i went ahead and bought 10,000!! oops) but now they are not really much use to me, anyway my point for this post was does anyone want to purchase my miles (at a better rate than Virgin) from me to boost their own total? if so please send me a PM
Thanks

Oceans 13 has been showing on Sky Movies - I watched it on Saturday night and I feel even worse about being back here now!!!! Ive had my vegas holiday for this year and watching that just made me wanna book another!!
"21" is a really good film and there are LOADS of vegas shots - but its not on dvd yet.
There is a recent Nicholas Cage film whose name I cant remember where he can see into the future and that is based in vegas and the Grand Canyon - good film actually and that IS on DVD - do a search on blockbuster or something - sorry I cant remember the name!
Just remembered - its called "Next".
