    Hi all,

I don't have much to bring to the party as yet, i am always asking for help and hope after my visit in August ( wow Jul already :) ), that i will be able to contribute a little more. However, does anybody use i4vegas.com ??? Is seems to have prices a little lower for hotels then on sites i have been currently using.

What do you think.... have i contributed ? :)

    Steve

I do look on there sometimes, have you checked their prices with the hotels direct via the deals sites, fatwallet etc? Even if they are cheaper (remember it is a 3rd party booking) the hotels will almost always price match and it is better to book with hotels direct

Excactly what I was going to say - if you do find a price on i4vegas.com that is the best out there, most hotels will match it.

The way they sometimes get around it is if i4vegas has some extras included - so if i4vegas has a deal at Flamingo with a pair of free buffets or something, the hotel can reject the price match as it's not for exactly the same deal at their hotel (because direct with Flamingo won't include the freebies that i4vegas are offering).

I have seen some particularly good deals on i4vegas before though - so it is certainly worth checking and seeing if you can get a match.

They usually go April/May and Oct/Nov. Always with Mytravel for the last 10 years at least.

Starting with this last trip, they were supposed to be booked with Terrible's. When they got to the airport check in place they were told that Terrible's were in receivership (A complete lie BTW, Terrible's said they had terminated the contract because TC weren't paying the bills on time) and they would be staying at Best Western Mardi Gras.

We stayed at Terribles last week. I knew people who were going at the same time and thought it would be good to meet up. We booked direct, they booked through Thomas Cook. 1 week before going the others got a letter from TC saying Terribles was in receivership and they were now staying at the Orleans. This looks like TC knew about the issue with Terribles in April/May. When we saw where the Orleans was we were glad we'd booked direct and were still at Terribles. We really liked it as it was a good bit smaller and much easier to navigate around.

Yes, they definitely had a problem in May. TC should have notified them sooner than one week out.

I must say though, I'd rather have been moved to Orleans than Best Western Mardi Gras.

I wonder what Terribles would have to say about TC making untrue references to receivership?

If it were me, I would be evil and forward a copy of the letter to Terribles. :)

Our friends had stayed there before and had a chat with the manager about it, so they knew about that particular incident. They didn't get a letter, just told they were being moved when they arrived.

I think I'd be inclined to do that too ferf.

TC were as good as ever for us. Yes we paid £300 in May when the price the following week was £160 pp. didn't pay extra to sit together - plane was only 90% full so not only seated together but a spare seat beside us. Didn't pay for meals, fed both ways. 33inch seat pitch in mock leather seats ...didn;t get a foot in the back there or back.

Would never dream of booking a hotel through them!

i think the way to see My Travel / TC is as just a cheap flight without frills . as long as me and OH were going, sitting together is not a massive issue IMO . also why pay something like double to book a hotel with them and then be messed around
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

thanks to everyone I have now booked Mandalay Bay a strip view room for 3 nights, the price was $159, $159 and $169 plus taxes for a strip view room, when you take the lowest rate off for 1 night using the prommo. I thought it was ok for this hotel.

    What do you all think
hope I have made the right choice, even though I still got nyny booked and the flamingo for the same 3 nights
