ruthy 14 , I've stayed at the Mandalay Bay and didn't feel out of place. It's very nice. I'm like trets and don't like staying anywhere too posh.

secondtoughest , the first time I went to the GC was in a small plane like the one in your link and the view wasn't anywhere near as good as in a helicopter and the worst thing was the turbulence. Half the people on the plane (including me) were sick _pale_ You also miss out on the most fantastic feeling when the helicopter flies over the edge of the canyon  Just had a quick look to see how much helicopter trips are and they seem to be double the price of the plane trip (unless anyone on here knows of any good offers ) so if that's out of your budget i'd do the plane trip as long as you're prepared for possible puking!

do most regulars change hotels, I am thinking it may be a pain. Cant afford mandalay bay all week though, even though it looks fantastic,
does the deuce stop outside mandalay bay? I know about the tram to excalibur, which is the best, I am thinking get on deuce at mandalay bay as it will be nearly empty and we can grab a seat.

trets I was thinking the same with Mandalay Bay is it just too posh????
Am I going to feel comfortable.
    Last stay was at Harrahs

Ruthy please don't worry, MB is a beautiful hotel but it is definitely not posh. We really like the feel of this hotel, and always go there whether we are staying there or not. TBH i have never felt out of place in any hotel i have stayed at in vegas, or felt it was too posh including Wynn, Bellagio, Palazzo, 4Seasons. I like a nice hotel, but am definitely not posh lol and have loved all my stays and never once felt out of place. HTH

We usually stay for 7 nights, and split it between two hotels staying 4 nights and 3. I love experiencing different hotels and casinos, and always break it up to take advantage of great rates at nice hotels. We have never found this to be a problem.

We spent christmas in Mandalay Bay and it was perfect, upscale without being too plush. We moved to the Venetian after and there was a HUGE difference.

Moving hotels is part of the Vegas experience, there are SO many great hotels that it seems a waste to stay in just one! So i think, anyway.

I always change hotels, like pebbles I follow the deals.

I have stayed at mandaly bay and it is great, didnt feel out of place (I did at the Pallazzo) the pool is the best in Vegas. The only drawback is the position, last time i went I had choice of MB or a flamingo go room for about the same money...the MB is much nicer but the position of Flamingo swung it for me especially if you can get a fountain view (which I did)
