New to this, so hope this finds it's way onto the Vegas board (can't find out how to post a message).

Am planning our first trip to Vegas (celebrating 50th and 60th Birthday's plus our 25th Wedding Anniversary) talk about killing 2 birds with one stone! Can anyone advise if a 2 hour stop over, outwards stopping at Newark and return stopping at George Bush International (thinks that's Texas but not too sure), will be long enough. I don't even know if we would have to collect baggage, clear customs and immigration, then check back-on.

There seems to be so many "seasoned" L.V'ers in this board, I'm sure someone must have done this before. Well I hope so.....

Thanks for anyone who can take the time to help. :A

also i assume you have booked all thse flights with one company under one booking ref/number. if you have then they are obliged to put you on a later plane if you miss your booked connection, even if it was due to a long queue at border control ect.

not sure how many flights go from newark to LV in a day , but it would be a few i would think.

if you were to miss your flight back due to 1st leg being delayed or something , you would probably end up in a texas hotel for the night on them , waiting for the next day flight.

THB i doubt any of the above will occur as you have pretty reasonable connection times ;)

Well I'm amazed...... I don't regard myself as a gambler -sure I'll dabble on the slots in Vegas-doesn't everyone and last trip took the advice of a friend and asked whilst I was there if my hotel would give me a casino rate and they knocked 20% off my room bill. This time we decided to split our stay and stay for a few days at another hotel in the same group-where I've never gambled but my player card covers it. They comped me two nights-OK it's Coast casinos but even so-free is free.
Just shows even if you aren't a high roller it never hurts to ask !
(I told them we fancied a change from our usual hotel and asked what casino rate would be)

Thats a good oneI'll bookmark it
Not the one I was looking for though this one had 2 drop down boxes to put a start and end date for your holiday so that you could see who was there for your stay.....Doubt if it will go a year ahead anyway as I'm looking end Sept 2009
Thanks though that's a good one to keep

I take an Archos 605 160gb it holds music, games, and movies/tv programmes, you can record directly from your tv if you have the add on adaptor, and it also has wifi.

    http://www.archos.com/products/gen_5/archos_605wifi/index.html?country=global&lang=en

My brother-in-law has either that exact one or one that is very similar...saw it last month...it's pretty awesome, I think. Our Creatives hold video, movies, photos, etc...have radio, etc...but the Archos looks so great especially with the DVR option...suspect when one of us upgrades it will be the way we go.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
