Tax is 9% on top of those rates, but I agree that it's still a better rate than the package deal by the best part of £100...
And put that £100 on 32 Red, and you pay for your next Vegas trip......if it comes up of course!!!

Ok I need to ask another question.
Seeing as everyone recons Virgin are so pants to fly with if I were to go with another company and have a stop over which if any are the best routes to take ie who's stopover airport is the best....Which airline is the better
Do u have to retrieve your luggage and check it in again or is it automatically transferred to your connecting flight.
Do you have to go through immigration and then back again when your flight leaves, sorry to ask what most of you probably think is obvious but I havent a clue what happens when you have a connecting flight

Tango - the Virgin LHR flights are fab.

Ive never done SFO or LAX, but you could do either on Virgin, and take an internal flight to Vegas, maybe after a day or two there.

I take it they are more superior planes from LHR
If we went with Northwest based on this years prices and I know they will go up by next year but even so there is a £271 difference between NW and Virgin

We have travelled with Delta, American Airlines, United and US Airways and these carriers always fly you into their 'hub' airport. I forget which is which to be honest but I think Delta are Atlanta, US are Chicago.... cant remember the others. As far as we are concerned all are equally good and no 'hub' airport is any better nor worse than any other.

Your luggage is automatically sent straight there... kiss it goodbye at your UK airport and then pick it up in Vegas.

You only do immigration once, at your point of entry to the US.

No such thing as a dumb question, unless you DONT ask it, then regret not asking :o

Slightly off topic for a Vegas thread, but today I have booked our flights to New York, spend 5 nights there, then onto LAS VEGAS :rotfl:and spend 5 nights there.

Total flight cost £475 per person, going Jan 21st 2009.

    Cannot wait.:j

Will be my 6th trip since 2000

Yes they are better planes on the Lon - Lax route
Tango where are you getting those prices. I have been checking for next march, and using m+m virgin are around £455 to either LA or Vegas, AA can be got for £389 at mo LA return or £455 Lon-Vegas then La Lon.
