Just been checking my NWA flight to Las Vegas (Detroit change) from Heathrow - Airbus A330

Plenty of window seats available which are for two people, but also a few of the centre row seats of in aisle 41 & 42 available.

Which is the better seats on this flight?

Looks like all other flights we're booked on are standard sets of 3 seats (Airbus A319), and 757.
Whats your date out and back, I will have a look
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I think this year Easter was so early that it didn't coincide with a lot of schools' half terms and that was some of the reason that Easter flights didn't cost as much as they might normally. I remember when we first booked we were amazed that Easter wasn't more expensive than the week before or the week after and originally though that MaxJet then Virgin screwed up their fare schedules. :)

You maybe right, but all the schools in this area had the same two weeks as we went to Vegas.

I still think the days of low fares may b over as oil keeps going up and up, after all in the states now they are complaining about $4 a gallon:confused:

we payed £360 for into LA and out of LV , and booked it money and miles about 6 months out.but i think the whole fuel price thing , airlines are factoring it in to far in advanced fares.

Air France has fares of around £450 for 6th of April ( 14 nights) direct LA to/from Heathrow . don't know what type of plane though

Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

Right, the problem with the seats at the rear of the Aircraft is that it has been mentioned more than once that the FC run out of choice of meals, so you tend to get what's left, balance that against not having anyone sit next to you in the 2x config on the sides. Now the other thing you might try is because they charge a premium to sit in an isle seat in the front part (where you see the "P") you may end up with a whole centre row of 4 to yourself if you choose the centre seats of the 4. I am keeping my booking with the 2x at the back for the time being, and when I check-in on line for our flight I am going to see how many of those centres are empty, so might grab a couple of them.
I really hate that bit about NWA, charging to sit in an isle seat, who ever heard of such a thing.

    Cheers for that.

I'm not generally a fussy eater, and neither is my better half, so think those seats near the back would be fine, but as you say it could be worth checking the details when doing the online check in.

Can you change seats once you have reserved them online? Just thinking that if I kept a regular check on seats for any changes to availability then could get a better choice.

We travelled with NWA last November and I booked the seats in advance on their website. On the day of travel we used the machine in the check-in area to change the seat locations as the flight was almost empty! - We got a double seat each and took it in turns to stretch out on a 4 seat centre section. Good job we could because the connecting flight to LV was like a cattle truck! Still, no complaints though!
