Thanks for the link to the coupon Ferf. Might do that one afternoon.

I think the coupon works our slightly cheaper than the Half Price ticket booths as you don't have to pay the service charge.

    Hi guys,

Another question on the Virgin Miles + Money fares. Can you use more than 4000 miles per journey if you have them, or are you restricted to only using 2000 per person? Thanks

you can use more if you want to upgrade
All you need is 2,000 miles which you can combine with money to get an incredible reduced Miles Plus Money fare. You need just:

2,000 Flying Club miles for an Economy fare

7,500 Flying Club miles for a Premium Economy fare

15,000 Flying Club miles for an Upper Class fare

agreed though the money part is obviously higher as well...you can also use miles to pay for the entire fare, but that's a lotta miles. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Going to vegas soon can anyone tell me some more info about these please

the deuce bus or transport in general

Getting to the premium outlets centre and which malls to go to.

The buffets-which ones to go for and which to avoid....and are they self service and pile on the plates as i have seen pictures and they look abit elegant on the plate rather than the buffets over here lol.

signing up cards at the resorts....are they worth doing and what do you get free/comps.

Except for when they have offers on. Like last year we used our miles to go to New York as there was 50% off so it was only 20,000 (IIRC) instead of 40,000 miles.

For those having problems accessing certain sites, I was reading on another forum today of someone having similar problems. They called their ISP who recommended changing the settings in their router and that did the trick so may be worth a shot.

The Deuce travels up and down the Strip from the DTC (Downtown Transportation Center to the SSTT (South Strip Transfer Terminal).

Pros - It's cheap at $2 for a single trip or $5 for a 24 hour pass. They run 24 hours and are usually very clean. If you manage to get the front seat upstairs you get great views of the Strip.

Cons - They can be notoriously slow at getting you there so allow plenty of time. You can also wait a long time for one to arrive. We waited 45 mins one time and 50 mins another time. Would never have waited if we'd know it would be that long, but you just keep thinking one will be along a couple of minutes. Also, some stops are often Out of Service so make sure you look for any signs at the stop you're at. We sailed past a crowd of about 40 people outside the Venetian as the stop was Out of Service. There can be quite a long way betwen stops when that happens. Even without that, there is a stop at MGM and the next one isn't till Paris.

You can get the Deuce to the Premium Outlets which are near Downtown or to the LV OUtlets which are a few miles south of Mandalay Bay.

For the Premium Outlets get the Deuce to the DTC, then get the 106 bus to the outlets. You can get off near the Stratosphere, cross the road and get another bus from there, but I can't remember the number. Your Deuce $5 pass will get you on the 106.

Google Premium Outlets and print off the coupon for a VIP pass which gives you discounts on some of the stores. Same for LV Outlets. There is a Timberland and Disney Store at the Premium Outlets and I think there was one opening late last year at the LV Outlets. Googling the outlets will give you a list of all the stores.

Buffets - No need to pile up the plate. You can go back and forth as often as you like.

Recommended - Spice Market at Planet Hollywood, Bellagio, Wynn, TI, Mirage. I think Paris is over-rated though some like it.

Avoid - Imperial Palace, Flamingo (just so-so), Sahara.
