looking for either 7 or 14 nights mid strip, anyone seen anything they consider good around about then?

    Cheers

    Steve

You can not pre book either of these type of seat. Exit rows can only be booked when you get to the check-in desk, as you have to be physically fit to operate the emergency doors, so they will not let the old or very young sit in them. You also have to pay for these (£75?) The bulkheads are reserved for adults with babies and pax. with disabilities, tell them you have a bad back condition, this might help you get one of these, but only if you are the unscrupulous type;). These do not have to be paid extra for.
The best way to bag one of the affor mentioned seats is to do twilight check-in at Gatwick, open from 2pm till 9pm on the day before your flight, then you can dispose of your luggage and make your way straight to security in the morning.
PS You will be allocated a seat when you book your flights, but as soon as you receive your e-conformation, you can go onto the VS site and head for "manage booking" there you will have to fill out the advance passenger information that is required for your travel to the U.S. and also you can change your seats.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Hi Stoneman thanks for the reply, i thought exit & bulkheads seats were the same for some reason! what is the difference? are they in differant parts of the plane?

I planning o flying out on 31/07/08 on VS043 in Economy so will try to use Twilight booking to get an exit seat for an extra £75 and i'm flying back on 7/08/2008 on VS044 in Premium Economy, does anyone know what type of 747 Virgin use for this flight as there are 4 versions on seat guru so don't know what seats are best.

Also haven't mentioned that i will be driving to LA for a few days and then back to Vegas, would i be better trying to fly home from LAX?

Not sure where you have looked but just checked BMI and flights on your dates for a week are coming up about £550 leaving 12th October with a connection and looks like £622 for direct flights both legs.

Flying out on the 12th and back on the 21st goes as low as £497 (with connections both ways).

I think that this may be part of a sale ending on 7th April.

I don't have any experience with Manchester flights to know if these are reasonable fares or not (I'm sure there's some guidance in the guide at the beginning of this thread but being a London-based person I'm afraid the Manchester info goes in one ear and out the other :)), but a lot less than what you've been quoted at least.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    Hi all,

Great thread but sooooooooooooo much to read:T

I am right in thinking that good deals for August are not out yet?

Also i ma looking to build up air miles for Virgin Travel. I play on line poker and therefore get some that way. I have taken out the virgin white card and intend to book my flights with that card and then pay off cash when the bill arrives. Does any body know if that qualifies me for the 3000 miles they give you with first use.

Also i have tried to find the thread on how best to use airmiles but cant seem to locate can any one help?

Finally:o when i click on some links placed by trets77 some dothey do not go through to the site. I have just changed ISP from Orange to AOL do you think it might be something to do with that?

Cheers for any help you can give:T

Have a look at www.v-flyer.com it's a mine of information for all things Virgin. On the left hand side select which aircraft? and go from there
