  • Thanks guys, would have been more without the setbacks but getting there.

Today I've paid an extra £6.05 off my biggest loan. I will keep using the little bits over a round number in my account to do that as I planned to do earlier in the month. I was paying these off a credit card but really I just have the option to spend it again if I do that so I'm paying it off something that I can't access again.

Diet is going great and down 5lbs and even turned down a night out at the weekend to avoid unnecessary spending and calories.

Moving house very soon and have nowhere to go currently so that's causing a lot of anxiety but hopefully will help me stay on track for fear of being too poor to get a new rental lol.

A lot of change coming but hopefully I will be thinner and richer for it.

  • Oh god what a nightmare - hope you get somewhere sorted soon.

  • Well the mot went well which is great and I've managed to buy most of the little ones uniform for September from sales but have about another £100 of it to buy which is unavoidable.
I've been trying to use the bower recycling app this week to round up some money. It's only tiny amounts but over the year should add up to a few extra pounds.
I've got a lot going on so my minds not fully on paying extra at the moment but I'm doing as much as I can and it's slowly coming down. It's a long process and I'm hoping once September comes I should be a little more settled and able to push more off.
Diet is going great though so that's great. I'm working towards my divorce party on 7th December so that's given me a good goal to aim for.
By January I think my whole life will be different.
  • I have to move home in the next month or so and my outgoing will increase considerably. I need to reduce my outgoings by at least £200pm to balance my income and outgoings. It's a short time frame so I am going to look at that this week. It's not going to be easy as this is just the normal bills and not the including petrol, food etc which will stay the same which I can reduce a bit but won't help the outgoings much.
I have a very complicated life at the moment, does anyone else have far too much going on to keep track of anything?

  • Made an extra payment of £5.24 on my 0% debt to round the amount. I think my best bet is to pay that down first as although it's not costing me interest it's a quick one to repay as all payments come directly off the debt and not interest.
I also paid an extra £6.70 off my credit card today.
Happy with some tiny wins this week.
  • Well I'm back after a couple of months of spending money when I shouldn't. I have had quite a few big changes that have cost me a lot of money such as car repair, moving house and a trip away. I've had a bit of a set back with paying stuff off but the stress if selling a house and moving across the country has been too much to focus on paying debt down. I move in a couple of weeks but I decided to reevaluate the damage done over the past couple of months.
So bad news is debt has gone up a little bit to 27327.08 overall.
Good news is its not s bad as I thought which is good. Also, I start a new job which pays a bit better and have increased my working hours so I am hoping the increased income will help.
I am moving to a much more rural location so I amhoping impulse spending will reduce but its going to take willpower.
I'm not worried about the increase in debt as I've been in a difficult phase with a great deal of transition. The house we are moving to is smaller so this will reduce bills quite a bit which I plan to allocate to debt instead.
As my new job pays a touch more I want to start off allocating that extra to debt.
I also may have a couple of weeks lodging with relatives between houses and if this happens I will use all my usual bill money towards my debts. I would love to build an emergency fund but I feel paying the debt takes precedent at present.
I'm feel optimistic now the move is coming to a close and looking forward to getting this debt gone for good.
