Fabulous @apple_muncher, have an amazing time, and enjoy your new kitchen too. All change in the apple household.Today was NSD2 because I have not left the house. I cashed in £25 of postal survey points for a Tessico voucher that will get most of the shopping tomorrow - there is a local band called Kasabian that is playing in a park less than 5 minutes from my house on Saturday, and it means loads of roads will be closed off, so it will be walking only this weekend. My car will not be moving as I will not get another parking space in any road round here. 35,000 people expected.Plenty of laundry has been done. I have reupholstered a footstool - it is not perfect but it is my first attempt, it was hideous before, and less so now, plus I got to play with my new electric staple gun (£12 in the middle aisle)Whole house hoovered, and another bag of clothes ready to go to recycling.Don't forget to vote tomorrow!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Woke at stupid o'clock, then got up at 6.20. Did Norwegian & some ironing, was starving by breakfast time!
The last day of term went well & I managed not to cry at the leavers ceremony, though very close at one point 🤣 Got my new timetable for after summer (finally), going to be some changes & some big challenges ahead...
Stuffed & hand stitched the rest of the memory bear. Only one job, possibly 2 left to do now, before I go away Friday night. Up late tonight to pick DS3 up from the bus.
Congratulations @ditty1234 junior. Have a great trip down under, @apple_muncher.
Grateful for the holidays finally being here, being spoilt by my 2 teachers & a couple of pupils, I can have a lie in tomorrow, as no one has work to go to 😃Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Morning all,
I am still on NSD 1 - was traveling to York and back for work, and bought coffees and a meal deal. I did take breakfast and lunch though. I was out the door at 5.45am and back in the door at 20.45 - very long day! But got up and did some restorative yoga this morning.
Grateful's for yesterday:
- being in-person meeting with some great colleagues
- Being in a different place - helps with perspective change
- Coming how to a clan and tidy kitchen!

Hi thanks everybody for your kind comments for my lovely DS2. It is quite overwhelming.
Obviously with me it is an other story, have massively overspent in busy and lovely month of June, and then the steering went on the car so I dropped £500 on that. The good news is that for now I have not dipped into savings to fix car, and if I get enough cover work I can keep afloat, but not top up savings as much as planned.
So am very much looking at outgoings, free activities and using my feet to get around, and leave car in driveway unless absolutely necessary, now that it runs so smoothly.
Happy holidays to everybody vacationing down there or at home. I have a week at the end of the month and 10 days in August, so am looking forwards to that.
Grateful for an old but very smoothly running car.
For ds2 doing well and for ds1 looking for housing for his masters studies.
And for an incidental day off as could not drive to school I was supposed to go to as had no transport.Isa help to buy: 950/3000 13%
Emergency fund: 100/1000 10%
HMRC tax payments: I eventually got this all cleared :-)

Haven't forgotten about you all but things hare really quite difficult at the moment. Himself has had multiple falls during the night, Refuses to see a doctor and, of course, I'm just not fit enough to help out. Why are men so stupid. In addition the Boy's best friend has been sending me messages day and night. He's severely depressed and doesn't seem to be able to get the help he needs. I've s suggested various organisations he could contact but I'm not trained for this. So, anyway. I am reading but not posting. Love to all of you. xxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9
