The other thought that occurred to me this weekend was.... attempting to pay £38,400 off our mortgage in a year is a HUGE undertaking. I don't know who comes up with these ideas 🤣

In theory its possible IF we have the same level of income and IF we don't have any unexpected bills, when does that happen !.

I'm not changing my mind but l did remind myself to:

    1) Don't get to hung up on the June deadline - life happens

    2) Look at ways l can make smaller OP to bolster the larger ones we make.

Book the haircut! I don’t have mine done that often but even I had mine done today. We all deserve a little lift

Keep aiming for June 26 as even if you don’t make it you will be closer than if you just relax.

Not sure about the hair, I am currently growing out a short hair cut that I desperately wanted last year🙄

Thank you @skint_spice I have no intention yet of moving the goal posts, l think a date to aim for will keep me focused l just wanted to get a "subject to change" disclaimer in early😉.

So l was all ready to book my hair appointment @ladysummerisle and yep you guessed it - no availability before l go away. Its my own fault for faffing 🙄. She does have an appointment the day after i'm back from holiday but that's also the day I've got work happening at the house so not sure if that's a good idea.

In other news we received a letter from the child development centre to complete the Autism assessment paperwork. I'm not sure what l was expecting but it took over 3 hours, they wanted to know all about my child's history and difficulties. I felt uncomfortable at times, because we've come such a long way and l want to applaud all the successes, not focus on the challenges.

But then on a playdate this week my 12 year old locked themselves in the bathroom. My poor child was overwhelmed and thought the other kids didn't want to play. Thankfully the course I've been doing helped me to be calm not overreact, and an hour or so later play and laughter resumed. It did remind me that all is not as it may appear. I hope we get through to an in person appointment.

    Evening all,

Another busy day in the CK household.  I attended the Adhd training online. Did some housework, then l ended up food shopping.

I had to get emergency shoes for our 10 year old who failed to mention their shoes had a hole in them 🙄 during their half term holiday. Not budgeted for but came out of the "kids" pots l save for occasions just like this.

I'd like to say it's been a personal  NSD, but £15.99 gym + £13.50  hair deposit left my account today. Still,  l didn't , ...actually buy anything . A friend text to remind me of our upcoming lunch date and we have added another two social events to the month 😕.

I love my friends and I always enjoy going out with them but it gets expensive especially when you have multiple invites in a short time.

In an attempt to recoup some funds l completed the train,  delay repay forms for our stressful journey to Liverpool last week.

I've also sorted out more things to list on vinted between now and the weekend.

    Have a good Wednesday.

    Morning all,

l woke up early so while l enjoy my coffee l thought id share a quick update.

On Friday I spent a wonderful afternoon with my best friend 🥰 Originally we were meeting for lunch, but instead l went to her house for a sandwich and l brought some cake, l had a great time at a fraction of the cost.

The impending holiday, prompted me to look for a new swimming costume. I ordered one from Matalan and added extra things to the basket to get 25% off. I had planned to return most of the other items, but actually l really do need new gym clothes so I'm keeping them. Mr CK has given me a kind donation but still my cheap bikini has ended up costing £29.98. I'm up to £59.47 already for the month 😱 and haven't got to the expensive part yet.

Still have travel insurance to sort out today and things to list on Vinted.

Better crack on, enjoy your Sunday.

    Evening,

We've just got home fron a meal out, one of several we've committed to this month.

Had a lovely time the food was delicious, l resisted the starters and desserts and  just had a main with a soft drink for the £££ and the lbs sake 😂. A modest £25 spent today nearly £85 for the month .

Didn't list anything on Vinted instead we took the kids on a bike ride and l half packed for my holiday to Spain in a weeks time.

Right off to bed so l can up for the gym tomorrow.

    Afternoon,

I'm seriously lacking motivation today.  After a bad night's sleep l dragged myself to the gym first thing before work, managed a half hearted workout 😕 . Then l did the school run, and dinner.  Mondays are my busiest day.

I've had 3 coffees and still feel like l could fall asleep on the settee right now.

If l can muster up the energy I'll walk to the local shop to collect a vinted parcel. See how l feel after dinner.

In money news ... today has been a NSD and another overpayment of £100 has been knocked off the mortgage.

    New total £42,300

    Evening all,

Today has been another busy day aren't they all.

After the school run l went to my parents, then to asda and matalan to get a refund for the few items I'm not keeping.

Today was the last day of my ADHD course, I've really enjoyed it and learnt a lot.  But also happy that I've gained that time back. Apart from a couple of loads of washing, a quick vac round, cooking dinner and securing travel insurance l haven't done anything.

I have two 12/14 hour days ahead until Saturday when l get to rush around, food shopping, cleaning and getting everything ready for my 4 day absence 🙈. I hate this part of a holiday, really sucks the joy. To think when l was young free and single l was oblivious to it all 😅

No changes on the money front it was a personal NSD for me because the food and travel insurance come out of a different budget.
