Hi Everyone,
I cannot believe its nearly September.
Although in truth l could do with a return to a proper routine. My gym attendance and therefore my mindful eating has fallen by the wayside. I'm feeling heavier and sluggish 🙄.
I've made my dentist appointment for next week which will empty my easy access reserves. But l guess that's what the reserves are for. The kids savings pot has also taken a huge hit always does this time of year but the next few months should allow the balance to grow again.
We have still heard nothing from the company that approached us regarding a sale. The assumption is that there not interested but haven't the decency to tell us. I don't know whether l feel relived or disappointed. In either case this, has prompted me to revisit possible training opportunities. I have found a number of shorter courses 6-9 months that will enhance my CV if and when the time comes to look for another job. I will discuss with work when the time is right.
In other news l sold another item for £20 on Vinted 😊 £95/£153 l wonder if l can get another £5 sale this month to make it £100.
Cant wait for pay day tomorrow I've been broke most of the month despite not actually buying anything.
Between the dentist £60, gym £17, and flowers for my grieving friend £45 my august allowance was wiped out.
Have a good weekend x

Another sale £20 on Vinted today😁 (it was an item I listed a while ago l had planned to reduce on Monday) I've parcelled it up ready to drop off, when it stops raining. So pleased £117 / £153 at this rate l might hit my target by September.
On the other hand l have spent a bit to 😕 . New Pj's for the youngest two children from Next. I found one in the clearance section and had a voucher for the other total spent £22.50 not bad for four pairs. I also brought two jumpers for my 12 year old from Vinted and have several coats for my youngest in my watch list. The pre-school try on revealed they had grown out of there existing one. There is enough in the kids account to cover the spends.
I also brought some new saucepans from Asda, there the Scoville never stick ones, 3 pans reduced to £25. Not technically budgeted for, however my existing no longer non stick ones must be +10 years old so l felt justified.
I've put it on my 0% card for now but l can pay using the surplus holiday fund or if l underspend on the food shop this month.
This purchase prompted me to make a list of things l would like to buy but keep putting off to try and keep on the MFW focus. Some aren't even expensive I'm hopeful over the coming months l might knock a few cheaper items of the list.
I have also decided like I'm not busy enough !! to clear at least one item of mine everyday in September. Either by listing on vinted, giving to charity or in the case of a few items putting in the bin. I looked at the space 30 hangers would create in my wardrobe and it was significant, enough for my coats to fit in my wardrobe instead of the loft. I wouldn't say l have an excessive amount of clothes but l definitely have to many that don't serve any purpose. I'm really good an at clearing my kids wardrobes, l love how minimal they are. But for some reason l struggle to let go of things l know l don't wear just because, l have a great memory from 1998 🤣 or because it was expensive, or because "im going to get back in to it" who am l kidding 😆. I'm hoping one thing a day wont be to traumatic.

I have the Scoville ones, a year in and I'm still really pleased 👍
Good luck with the wardrobe challenge! You could always put any removed items in the loft instead, and then if you find you really miss them you can swap them back in again. And if you don't miss them, then you know you don't need them!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed
Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!0 -
Oooh thanks @South_coast I'm excited now I've just had a text from Asda to say the pans have arrived 😄 (l ordered online). I'm half tempted to get the frying pans too. Argos are selling them cheaper than Asda. Maybe it's a back to university 🤔 promotion.
Yes the clothes in the loft is a good idea for things I'm not 100% sure of letting go. I have been ruthless in the past and regretted it 🙄

Afternoon all,
A quick update l was up at 5.30am (l needed a wee tbh) l decided not to climb back into bed and went to the Gym. It had been 3 weeks since my last visit so l felt very rusty.
Then l had my dentist appointment l have another appointment next week but needed to leave some money for the treatment today. I had planned on using my 0% CC so l can spread the payments, but alas l couldn't remember the pin - l should have checked all of this BEFORE standing in reception. I tried to open the APP to retrieve it but, nope it had disappeared of my home screen. Of course by the time l got to work it had reappeared 🙄. This meant the £80 deposit was paid on my regular credit card due for payment by the end of the month.
I didn't have much energy by the time id finished cooking dinner etc but as its bin day tomorrow l quickly grabbed a very worn out t-shirt l still insisted on wearing and put it in the bin 1 item down 29 to go.
Actually for full disclosure ...l have brought some new work trousers £12.80 from Matalan not 100% decided I'm keeping them and 3 new nail varnishes. Id been waiting for Boots to put them on 3 for 2 all summer so got them while l could. l paid using my points so not a massive out lay moneywise but nonetheless 4 more things l own. Technically this means that I need to lose 34 things this month not 30 🙈.

Evening all, l am literally heading to bed in the next 20 mins 😴
Today was ridiculously busy made worse by a late night yesterday.
Amongst the many things l did today l got rid of another 3 items admittedly 2 were nail varnishes but l really didn't have time so just went with things that were easy to lose 4/34 still 30 ish items to go. I'll have to give more attention on the weekend l think.
I didn't go to the Gym first thing which usually means l don't go at all but after l got in from the school run l mustered up the energy to go. It was busy, and the workout wasn't great, but still better than nothing.
Sold another item on Vinted for £6 new total is £128 / £153.
Night all xx
