I thought I had a 5.12% Cahoot account but apparently that has reverted to 1.2%..
Am ideally looking for true instant access accounts.- 4.57% AER/gross variable rate interest for 1 year. Cahoot Simple Saver is still available.
not sure why you would suggest moving a balance from a 4.75% account (Ulster next week), to a 4.57% Cahoot account ?!?while i'm here, an account was mentioned in the no-chat thread yesterday (but not here AFAIK) and it's now been posted on Moneyfacts.Chetwood Bank @ 4.81% (£0 balance, next day withdrawals)... I had never heard of them, but I found that they share the same FSCS protection as Smart Save (who I know from the fixed rate thread).4 -
I didn't suggest moving from Ulster to Cahoot, I was referring to the statement "I thought I had a 5.12% Cahoot account but apparently that has reverted to 1.2%."janusdesign said:chris_the_bee said:

fair enough - I had the same Cahoot 5.12% until yesterday when it matured and dropped 1.2%... but I opened the 4.85% issue 4 previously, so that's one of my backups going forward - I won't bother with the above Issue 5.chris_the_bee said:

Am ideally looking for true instant access accounts.I’ll use the Simple Saver @ 4.85% as my main one to move in and out of for bills etc as withdrawals are really quick.0 -
And at the end of the following day it still hasn't been approved.KevinG said:
What a palaver opening that account! It wouldn't send a verification email to the first address I used (accepted the address but it never arrived) so I had to try another one, interminable questions to answer and after finally getting to uploading both sides of my driving licence and taking a selfie it will still take one business day to verify my application. Other accounts I have opened through an app have taken a couple of minutes before I could start using them.SeriousHoax said:Hi, has anyone gone for Sidekick?

True EA accounts are easy access savings accounts that can be opened and the headline rate accessed from £1, allow unlimited deposits and withdrawals without affecting the rate, and exclude smaller balance accounts. True Instant EA accounts are those True EA accounts that process transfers immediately, advertised as within hours but usually take place in minutes, 24/7. Blue highlighted entries are accounts that are new to the respective tables, red highlights are those whose interest rates have fallen since last time.Chetwood is the new True EA leader. Note that, despite allowing unlimited withdrawals you are still limited to one per day. I suspect this is enough for most people. Skipton's BR tracker is the other new account. The Post Office and Monzo accounts have had their respective rates for some time already, it's just that they have finally displaced other providers that have dropped off the scorecard - Hampshire Trust and Chase.
I no longer check the forums as regularly as I used to. If you wish to catch my attention please remember to tag me (@ircE) so I get a notification.12 -
