Cahoot SDS
Is there any way to refresh the account so that it pays interest on a specific date?

@SFCooper , yes I did it with all of mine so they all pay interest on the same day, easier to skim the interest of on just one day a month than multiple days. If the SDS is the current issue then upgrade it/them to a Simple Saver and then upgrade straight back to a SDS. It works as I did it with both mine and hubby’s. Hope this helps 😊

Tried. All are definitely the same but it’s only letting convert a few of them to SD’s.

Had a great response from FA regarding the inability to set up an alternative 2SV if your SIM is for whatever reason not available when you login.
Very impressed with the speed of their response and recognition of it being a “fantastic point” and the need for an alternative recovery option.
———Since text message OTPs are currently our only two-factor authentication method, you would need to reach out to us directly via live chat or phone call if you lost your phone and SIM card. Our team would then be able to assist you with your account balance/provide reassurance whilst you're waiting for a new sim card.
That is a fantastic point, so I will certainly pass this feedback along to our team to highlight the need for alternative recovery options in the future.
BiancaMany thanks,

Having changed my mobile number a year ago, only one financial institution I used, out of almost 30, was unable to change it on my account: - Sumup - I'm no longer a customer of theirs. I don't recommend changing your mobile number.

Always good fun if you live in a mobile not-spot too! 😉

If you have no mobile signal, you won't be able to sign up to the account in the first instance.

Tesco Internet Saver 4.53% (3.48% 1 year fixed bonus + 1.05% standard)
Leaps into ToTP, possibly second place

I already have a Tesco Internet Saver, so I’ll be opening a new one and transferring the funds across. One thing puzzles me: Tesco don’t seem to use issue numbers to identify their accounts, so is the interest rate the only way to tell them apart, or have I missed something?

Great spot, thank you! Tesco withdrawals are truly instant, and there's an app with biometric login. This makes the Tesco account my favourite over Saga, First Active and Cynergy, for shuffling funds several times a month between my current account and an easy access account.
EDIT: easy deposits with Open Banking, definitely from nominated account, and possibly from any other account in your name, too. I haven't tried that but it shows me a long list of current accounts that I have recorded on Tesco for historic reasons, plus there is an option to add other accounts. One potential hurdle: it might take 4 working days from account opening before you can make any withdrawal.3
